Re: Suzuki Gixer being tested in Noida
Nice scoop! BTW, bbsrailfan, Intruder 800cc does come with drums at the rear.

Re: Suzuki Gixer being tested in Noida
Apparently, it's interesting to see the rider is aware of being photographed...
Engine resembles GS150R a lot from the pic, if it is then rear drums are good enough. Will not be surprised if it's another 'old wine in new bottle', like their Swish125. I'm sure it will appeal to trendy people.
Is there any research done on rear disks vs drums of various sizes and effectiveness in 150cc?Last edited by SparKot; 01-25-2014, 09:16 AM.There is no honest path to prosperity - KoKa

whatever it is.. it looks good enough but the rear drum brake seems to be a let down. they can offer with rear disc brakes as an option IMO.

Except the exhaust (which is actually looking good to me) nothing special as per this one pic.
The rear tyre looks thin, maybe 130 section. Could be a 125-150cc bike.
The bike looks ready and we could expect it at the Auto-expo.
Thin and 130 section dont go together.

PS - why the topic saying "Suzuki Gixer being tested in Noida" ??
Because they named the bike suzuki gixxer???
PS. I dont think the name reads gixer. It to me looks like Laxer.

Re: Suzuki Gixer being tested in Noida
The bike looks a treat, and would be an even good looking in metallic white for that matter. From what I reckon, the front end resembles the NS the exhaust resembles the Kawasaki and the rear resembles the CBR series and all made into one PowerPuff Girl potion to give us the "Gixer".
It would have been a real delight to see this bike if it were a 300 cc with 30 horses on the prowl. (I know I'm greedy
But at times even firm footed manufactures are considering an above 300 cc with tepid thoughts, it's not uncommon to see Suzuki not gaining the CC ladder.
But with the right power, upwards of 25+hp (way too greedy I guess) and a good price tag, Suzuki sure has stunner in their hands.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

25 bhp...?? I am expecting 15-16bhp at max....Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThe bike looks a treat, and would be an even good looking in metallic white for that matter.
