Re: Honda to produce CBR650 in India
Oh, you seem to be very optimistic. It won't be less than 7.5L if I go by Honda pricing.Originally posted by coldfire20 View PostEven if CBR 650f is priced 75k above N650. It looks like a good proposition for an I4 engine.
I have seen a few video reviews, the engine sounds oh so sweet! Time to start saving up to me.

I have started mine too. Slightly behind you though on the amount.Originally posted by TheArcher84 View PostI have started mine already. So far close 1.75L in account, atleast for the down payment

I am targeting around 2.5 to 3 for the downpayment around April. Hopefully now it gets launched by that time. I am ready take it for 7.5 On Road.
If priced higher, then I will have to think.Rachit K Dogra

Re: Honda to produce CBR650 in India
I have saved for Ninja 300 & ended up buying Hyundai EON last year. Now i have same situation like you fellows.
BTW CBR 650-F won't be a fully localized bike. It should be a ckd version.
I got an info that launching this bike would be in march-april 2015. The city wise would be held in very big place. For chennai, it is coming in Chennai trade center

Re: Honda to produce CBR650 in India
Under 7 hopefully. I still want it to sell for the same price as the International models which is 5.8 lakhs but knowing our anti-common man taxations, that's a pipe dream really. I really really wanted HMSI to consider mustering up the courage like they did with the 250 and be the first ones to bring in localized middleweights, but yes the market isn't really that big to see big numbers and Thailand already exports to the worldwide market.
India could export to South American and other smaller markets like with the 250R, but that's a lost cause at this point.
CKD 6-6.5 lakhs ex showroom, i'm in. If its anything more then i can hold onto my money and wait for bigger models like the VFR 800 to come in via CKD as they promised if the 650F is a success.
Looking at N650s sales figures in the 40-60 units/month, the whole Triumph fiasco and now Benellis, the 600 market is already diluting and pricing will be the key to their success.Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

They said they would consider importing bigger bikes if the CBR650F recieves a favorable response in India.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostWHAT? WHEN? WHERE?

Re: Honda to produce CBR650 in India
There was a dealer's meet today at Delhi, the CBR650 was displayed there:
Seems to be legit.

EDIT: They seem to be talking about a press conference tomorrow, 4th Feb. So a day of wait to see if this is true.Last edited by tanay; 02-04-2015, 12:52 AM.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

None of the Indian motoring website's mentioned the 650. This leaked pic was on Motoroids. But apart from that nothing else.
Any updates on the launch?

Re: Honda to produce CBR650 in India
The 6 commuters/scooters that were launched on 4th Feb were unveiled at the same hotel somewhere in Gurgaon. These images are from a dealer's meet one day earlier when the CBR650 was "apparently" displayed to dealers. But it was not launched along with the commuter vehicles so:Originally posted by Minisoda View PostAny updates on the launch?
1) It may be a possible photoshop job on the CBR650 pic being displayed
OR
2) Maybe it was discussed during dealer's meet and will be launched later
Either way I should have found better sources, fb is not too reliable.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER

From what I could figure, the information on that FB page was not accurate. The pic of CBR650f was picked from the EICMA show.Originally posted by tanay View PostThe 6 commuters/scooters that were launched on 4th Feb were unveiled at the same hotel somewhere in Gurgaon. I did call the Honda Wings delhi. He said second half of this year launch is expected and hopefully bookings will open around July.
He said pricing will be competitive.

I expected that they were gonna price it like that, if thats the actual price, I wonder how many prospective buyers will go for it, considering the Z800 is just 50k or so higher.Originally posted by tanay View PostPrice ~8 Lakhs2013 R15(Sold) | 2014 Duke 390 (Sold) | 2022 Adv 390 | 2022 Ninja 300
