All I'm happy about Enfield Himalayan launch is that I'm getting new spares for my Impulse ! (Ceat grip XL will be easily available now and rims too)

      Hey all...

Although i have nothing productive to contribute here YET but for some reason i feel this urge to rant...

I am planning to go to RE showroom today to get a good look. I loved the previous pics.
I am not a RE fan and i hate youngsters doing that loud firing noises on bullets..... Feel like putting cement in those exhausts !!

I dont own a RE yet but i have always longed for one. I have ridden them on numerous occasions including the CGT for about 600-1k kms. (Never once i was stranded but must have faced starting issues in almost all of them every now and then - eventually they did come to life but only after sucking the life force out of ME... ?! )

But i do want to admit that there is sonething about a RE which you cant find in any other genre/brand bikes. I can't put a fingure on it.
If ever i have a surplus 2lakhs then i would most definitely buy one.... !!

My complaint so far is only that these bikes cant touch/cruise triple digit speeds at will with the rider in full confidence.

Anyways as first ride reports tells us that the 'Thump' would be missing in this avatar so i believe a dedicated/sensible set of bikers would be taking the plunge only and not every other poser.

Let's see how different is the Himalayan saga......

Although the bike has been on display in the northern part of the country, i have tried to see if any showroom has got the vehicle at least in their inventory in Bangalore. I tried HSR, Mahadevapura and Kalyannagar showrooms but they still do not have it in their backyard.

Has anyone seen the machine in Bangalore showrooms?
