IMO, the AS 200 looks ok, but AS 150 looks over cowled ! Too much of plastic fairings and cowlings. Even the side profile looks awkward. They should have made it slim

Paid a visit to the showroom in Mysuru, only the 200AS was on display, all three colours. . . The red and blue just stand out in the crowd, while the black is like keep it simple look. . . Attaching the pics below, though the TR was not available due to pending approval from RTO here. . . They said it'll be over by next week. . . Hope to get it by then . . . Felt the weight to be somewhat in par with that of NS and didn't actually feel any front heavy, though might notice once it starts moving. . .

Cheers!!!

Its just BEA-U-TIFUL ! Thank you for sharing the pictures. Iv been waiting for this from the time the leaked pictures had surfaced. Im anyway due for an upgrade and i guess this is gonna be a perfect switch from my current p220. But can anyone please confirm that with the illumination set up on this bike does the high beam/low beam work together like RS 200 ?

So ya finally got to test ride the AS yesterday . . . So here are few quick points I can suggest after riding the AS.
1. Personally I liked the styling on the bike, looks too good. . .
2. The bike is the better alternative for those looking for something better than 220. . .
3. Wind protection is like Bulls**t, previously rode the Suzuki Gixxer SF that day and found the SF to have an awesome wind protection at triple digits when crouched, but this I felt like it had absolutely no wind protection even after crouching and that the Visor is just for show off. . .
4. The bike is way good and loves to be revved hard, no stress. . .
5. Even though the bike is 10 kgs heavier than the 200NS, I dint feel the weight even a bit on the bike. . .
6. I think it can handle better too, cos I was trying to lean the bike and it behaved just the way I wanted to be (though don't expect awesome lean angles ). . .
7. Really luvd it, especially when trying to lean into turns as it doesn't take too much effort to make it to lean. . . The best I luvd in this . . .
8. The AS comes with both Eurogrip and MRF (after enquiring about this, they said whichever is available, MRF or Eurogrip, that'll be fitted). . .
9. Gotta take it to some off road next time, to see how it performs in harsh terrain. . .
10. It's been a long time since I last rode a NS, so will try and compare between the two. . .

So ya, it's either this or the NS that's gonna be my next bike . . .
rookster, no, the low beam is for projector and high beam is normal headlight, as seen in the pic, low beam . . .

Cheers!!!

what makes an adventure bike, tourer friendly, comfort provided by soft suspension, so that you can glide over bad roads and low end torque, so that you can come out of tricky situations with easy. does this bike have these?? NO, a big NO.

looks alone can not make a bike tourer, and headlight alone will not cut it. Period.

man, i am liking you so much.

epic hilarious.

P220 will not be discontinued anytime soon. it is still "THE 220" and dream bike of a lot of ppl. believe me, i have met a lot of ppl asking how many CC my NS has, and when i say 200, their reaction is "oh, still less than 220", these ppl may not be educated or well informed but they have the buying power.

I fell thats a very good move by Bajaj.I own one AS200 and it has enough low end torque and once it hits the 6K rps u r on a blast.....Enough for city rides though

But you need a good mid range and a good top range in highway also,Power is pretty linear on this bike.

But the suspension sucks Donkeys Balls,no doubt about it.Is ther eanyway i can make it softer?

Old gen Pulsar like 220,180 are bound to be discontinued as new models started rolling out in good numbers...

1. Steel braided brake lines. - Price would increase for this.Already they are providing Projectors at this range.
2. Single piece handle bar - Bajaj left it a long time ago considering Split handlebars more. However i feel this bike gels well with Split.
3. Console to have heat bar like on CBR & Duke - Bike hardly gets heated so shouldn't be a problem
4. RVM are same like NS which are pathetic. They should have changed that - Bajaj have a great record of producing the WORST RVM when it comes to pulsar, and they havent let us down on this yet.May be an aftermarket one can solve it.
5. Ability to lock the bike on right side of handle(assuming it's still not done) - Absolutely, with no center-stand as stock they should have done it,but god knows why they omitted it.
6. Fuel knob is very troublesome to use. A old style near engine is more than adequate. - Wont gel with the bike good. Also you will get used to it.
7. Considering everything is a copy of NS, I assume sound is also carried over which isn't great.- What! you dont like the sound. At higher speeds it sounds beautiful.Sound can always be changed with Aftermarket exhaust(If you put one) or change to aftermarket Air Filter.
8. I honestly don't bother much about rear seat but its not great & should have been rectified.- I feel its pretty good.No probs so far.

I know above are small issues but they do affect the pleasure of riding.
Lastly, I am in just love with RED color - RED just looks so awesome, and its probably their best red color.
Why the hell they didn't have this when I bought my NS :sly: - hehe.you wont miss much if you have an NS.trust me.

The reason ever one is being -ve here is mainly because of the name. You don't just call a bike 'Adventure' bike by just doing some mods on an already available product.

I own one now and actually yes I might not be able to place both my feet at once but am able to easily manage it. . . I have taken it almost everywhere, smooth roads to even off roads and I haven't faced any issues till date, except that I just need to get down my bike and pull it back from the parking lot if it's like elevated. . . Else no issues. . .
