Instead of these craps, they should have upgraded the Pulsar 200NS with Projectors, ABS and FI and at least provide LED turn signals. I'd pay happily 1.30 Lakhs for the bike (On road) if they had it on the 200NS. This will just lower customer confidence. Sadly, Pulsars are heading towards the same fate as Discovers, release one and discontinue it a year or so later.

Ironically, these are the same people who praise yamaha for giving them same underpowered bikes at exaggerated prices for years painted in different nutshells only without a single change .

On top of everything both the bikes are producing their peak torque outputs above 7000 rpm.Originally posted by pulsater View PostI agree with Bunny..

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
Those who crib about Bajaj selling n number of pulsar with same engine...ITS THE SAME WITH OTHER MANUFACTURES TOO...yamaha is no different infact they are treating indian customers as some third world customers or the matter even Honda and kawasaki...they have such a huge portfolios but they have always always kept the indians deprived.. if it was for Bajaj and for some extend TVS we would still have been riding those 100c honda and yamaha bikes...HAVE YOU GUYS visited pakistani bike forum....people are still riding those old 100cc bikes and they crave when they see a indian bike manufacturer producing such wonderfull product or atleast they are trying too...so instead of cribbing about what Bajaj is offering...press on the positives and hope for the best.....we will surely see a higher cc bike in future...I HAVE SEEN THE RS BIKE AND THERE has been a considerable improvement in the quality of panels what bajaj used to provide earlier and now..so future is bright...........see what YAMAHA IS SELLING...its the same old stuff old wine in new bottle..thats it no different..

sree@mumbai The reason Japs haven't been so aggressive is simple. Not all Indians wants powerful bikes. Think from business point of view. Just how many R25 will Yamaha be able to sell? It would certainly be not more than FZ or R15 or Ray in terms of profit.
The reason ever one is being -ve here is mainly because of the name. You don't just call a bike 'Adventure' bike by just doing some mods on an already available product.
Lastly, as a consumer why should we be satisfied with what is given? People have so much connection & hope from Bajaj and I think tats the reason for disappointment.
PS:- Kindly refrain yourself from comparing our Motorbike industry to Pakistan.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
Ironically, they call fz Lord of streets ...
Even the r15 feels too slow ,and that is when I own it.
If it wasnt for bajaj, I wouldn't have ridden and brought NS AND RC200, instead I would be enjoying only those punny 17 horses of the mighty r15 (as per my under 2L budget ) .
The first thing I did when We had ns was to exchange R15 with it. And now I'm a power thirst quenched happy fella.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
Yamaha and Honda are long due with a higher displacement bike. But that does not mean they are selling crap. There are 150cc bikes which cost between 60-70K. And there are bikes which cost 90-100K. The person who buys the second type of bike is not necessarily a dumb fellow. He has his reason to buy the same displacement bike with a lower power output by paying 20K extra. People have their own choices and reasons.
I was suggested P135/Discover125/Shine by almost everyone when I was in the lookout for my bike. I ignored them and went for SS125. After almost 2.5 years and 24K km.s, with each passing day, I have a reassurance about my choice. I know that I have made the right choice. I did not give a damn as to what others are saying.
Both AS150 and 200 have a great future as they are wonderful VFM products and have things on offers which are not to be seen at this price point. People surely have a lot to choose from. Waiting for the first ride report.A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Indeed I am disappointed with the name adventure sports. But, that's only with the name. As for the product I am totally liking it. Its function over form. This windshield and projectors were what the ns needed to make it a even more perfect tourer. May be out of desperation or due to some indigenous thinking of bajaj, we customers have got more options to choose from.
And speaking of form, though the bike looks awkward in some angles. It does look good in some.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
Guys! I had booked the NS last Saturday and I got a call from the dealer, saying two things:
1) The NS will likely be discontinued (I'm taking this comment with a kg of salt)
2) The AS is available for the same price
Should I switch to the AS? If I do, the dealer has assured me a swift delivery. What do you guys think?
I'm supposed to be working right now, so I can't get into the details, but here is the 'What Bike' thread where I specified the kind of bike I am looking for:

Even I'm in same dilema brother. I have to pick up my booked NS either today evening or tomorrow morning and I'm hell confused now if purchasing NS at current price be a wise decision since AS200 launch price makes you think that NS could be discounted in coming days.Originally posted by offtopic View PostGuys! Will give you a suggestion though, take a look and TD for AS200 ,i.e. keeping the price point secondary and then make a decision. I myself will be going for a TD today mostly.
But indeed this same priced AS200 has put lots of IFs & Buts in people interested in NS.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
I think dealer is faking you. I don't think Bajaj will discontinue 200NS. Bikes launched by Bajaj are meant for different purpose.
200NS would be better if you commute a lot in city and occasional touring.
200AS would be better for touring, that doesn't mean you can't use in city.
200RS well sport touring / track ?
You guys need to decide what are your needs. If I had to pick, I would pick 200AS. Just personal choice !
