A pulsar with a half fairing and projectors is hard to resist. I just loved the 220, and now 200 AS is making me go weak in my knees.

Bajaj is being racist against short heightened bikers.
Thank god I'm on the other side, but they should've made a way for them.
Ps - it's mind boggling fun to ride a high stance bike.

Ask someone who is 5'4" on how it feels trying to move the bike around.Originally posted by Anuj_Gupta View PostBajaj is being racist against short heightened bikers.

Only yesterday I was looking at Duke 1290 and saw that its saddle height is 835 mm!! It is as though short people are paying for past sins.
I wonder what's wrong in having 800 mm or less saddle height?

Mail that dealer name to bajaj with the wrong info that retard is spreading..why on earth would any manufacturer discontinue a bike like ns..if you are a naked freak go for ns its got no competition at it's range to be scared of sales and discontinue it...Originally posted by offtopic View PostGuys! I had booked the NS last Saturday and I got a call from the dealer, saying two things:
1) The NS will likely be discontinued (I'm taking this comment with a kg of salt)
2) The AS is available for the same price
Should I switch to the AS? If I do, the dealer has assured me a swift delivery. What do you guys think?
I'm supposed to be working right now, so I can't get into the details, but here is the 'What Bike' thread where I specified the kind of bike I am looking for:

Though I own p220, I prefer ns over as..
Edit: really don't understand what was the need for as150 when we already have affordable semi faired d150Last edited by abhiiceman; 04-15-2015, 10:28 PM.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
So I went for a test ride of the 200 AS today. While I cannot really put out a detailed review at this point (one; because I lack experience and two; because it was a relatively short ride), here are some assorted points from my humble experience:
1) The AS looks very good in flesh, almost like, dare I say, a smaller Benelli 600 GT
2) The bike was fresh out of factory, but was rather smooth to ride and I didn't have any hiccups
3) Build quality is on par with the NS
4) The AS is front-heavy and makes you feel it; I test rode the NS soon afterward and realized how well-centred its weight is
5) The mass centralization of the NS plays a big role in its handling, which is why it comes as no surprise that the NS is quicker to flick around than the AS
6) In terms of engine behaviour, the AS to me felt like the P220 with the spirit of an NS
7) In fact, I found the AS to be a nice blend of the P220 and the NS in many ways
8) FINALLY, monotone colours with no weird graphic stickers all over!!
9) As someone pointed out before, the AS is more focused on touring and highway, while the NS is a jack-of-all-trades for congested city lanes, wide highways and some decent touring
Having said all that, I decided to go ahead with the AS, in part because of point (6) but also because it was an instinctive decision. The dealer said he can get it delivered by Saturday, but I'm going to play it cool, not scream like a little girl on cocaine, and just wait and see if he sticks to his word

Can you compare the seating position and posture in the AS with the p220. You see I have riden 220 a lot, but not the ns.Originally posted by offtopic View PostSo I went for a test ride of the 200 AS today.

Bajaj aims to sell 15,000 Pulsar AS models every month
Bajaj Auto has targeted selling 15,000 units of the Pulsar AS series, every month. The Pune-based manufacturer’s recently launched Adventure Sport series is made of two models – the Pulsar AS200 and the Pulsar AS150, and has been targeted at a young audience looking for a stylish commuter motorcycle.
Though Hero has been selling the semi-faired Karizma for over a decade now, Yamaha was the first manufacturer to venture into the popular 150cc segment with a semi-faired motorcycle. Though the Yamaha Fazer is marginally more expensive than the naked counterpart, the motorcycle caught the Indian customers’ fancy thanks to the semi-fairing, which multiplies the bike’s aesthetic appeal.
The Pulsar AS models come equipped with an aerodynamic body fairing which integrates a windscreen and projector headlamps. Bajaj will be able to save a lot of money in production and development costs, as most of the components are shared with the naked Pulsar 200NS. With its attractive price tag of Rs 79,000, the Bajaj Pulsar AS150 is sure to provide the Fazer and the recently launched Suzuki Gixxer SF with some stiff competition. The Pulsar AS200 on the other hand, is on its own in the Indian market and doesn’t face opposition from any other bike.

Nice write-up buddy. Did you visit Panvel showroom or the one in Thane? I am also from Navi Mumbai. I would like to see one in flesh. Re: Bajaj Pulsar AS150 and AS200 launched at 79000/- & 91550/-
So i came across this Ad -->
and quickly went to Yamaha India website and guess what
(1) power is equal to R15, both 17 PS
(2) Torque is much less than R15, 13 Nm against R15's 15 Nm.
And then i noticed, a Star Mark (*) For Air Cooled Engines Only. he he.
Anyway, this Adventure Sport produces peak power at 1000 RPM higher than a sportsbike (R15).
