    re: Bajaj V15 Launched

The might of the INS Vikrant in a puny package ... If it is badged as a premium collector's item then people will be willing to cough up money.

The Black and Red looks great ... there was a pic of the close up of the white and red and the paints looks Meh!!!! Disappointing really .....
When I'm on the road, I'm indestructible. No one can stop me... but they try.

Lol! Hope Bajaj learns from this, instead of launching 10-12 bikes in year, they could launch 1 or 2 "good" bikes a year could've saved the money. People now a days can't be fooled by the outer looks, people are concerned about reliability and power too. Please learn Bajaj

Another area where Bajaj can go a notch up is the weight. Refinement and quality has improved drastically. So has the handling and performance. In the past years from the 220 to 200ns was a big technology jump. They kept that with the launches from RS till this V. But all these have been heavier than the competition.
            Go further Bajaj!

I agree Bajaj has to shed the weight of the m/cycles of the class. The refinement is because of KTM borrowed engine. They need to work on reliability also.

                Great Design..Loved the looks...Awaiting CS400 now..

Quality levels have improved drastically over the years...Looks like a quality product when you compare to similar bikes in that segment..

By the way..will this be a new trend setter...a new segment in the making??

Pulsar was the trend setter way back in 2001 and Apaches..rest of the bikes followed and now it will be this bike

                  re: Bajaj V15 Launched

I liked the idea of using INS Vikrant's metal into this motorcycle. It will be an interesting case study in business schools.

Reg. the power, if the torque spread across the powerband is actually good, there's no need for too high a maximum power, at least not in the commuter segment. And what could Bajaj have come out of it anyways? At the best 14-15~ bhp, or 17 with a shy torque band like R15?

Expecting this bike to put out 17 bhp is like expecting Harley Davidson to put out 180 bhp. I.e. Pointless pursuit of power.

I've ridden all generations of Pulsars from UG2.... And UG2 is still the one I like the most, while its the least powerful among them all. Non vibey, torquey, but ok, granted its not the most powerful, but there's a feel to it. Riding it constantly at 5000 rpm was fun at a time.
Personally, I think the common commuter will love this vehicle, even without INS Vikrant's metal in it, but its a boost anyways.

The only thing that raises my right eyebrow is the wheel size... 18 and 16 inch tyres are not common. This will raise problems specially in smaller cities. Eurogrips should do ok on a 12 bhp bike though, specially the size 120 rear, and should end up giving good tyre life as well.
I'm not sure how wise this choice of wheel size was.
From my experience, tyres can better the handling, comfort or mileage of a vehicle, or inversely, decrease it, it depends. And with this size, owners have less chance to change anything to their preference.

I think the specs are good.infact pretty good. The torque is mor and thats what matters for a commuter bike. You dont want frequent Gear shifts.Liked the dsign also.Very refreshing.
If the V(CS150 ) lokks like this imagine how badass will the CS400 look!!!

What a missed opportunity in styling Bajaj?!! What the heck you were thinking with the mish-mash of cafe racer, bikini faring, alloys wheels and that eye sore of a meter console?! For years I yearned someone will put out a classic styled one like RD 350. Triumph did it with the Bonneville T100 but then a common man like me cannot go anywhere near that. Oh well..i guess the wait continues

Why not, You have the Continental GT. Its modern tech in retro styling. I guess common man can buy that. Its not as costly as a Bonnie nor it takes the pain of restoring a RD 350 these days where finding its parts is like a treasure hunt.

                              re: Bajaj V15 Launched

Well it all started on the noon of 26th January when the commercial aired with the valor saga of the Invincible INS Vikrant and then the "Maa tujhe Salaam" pumped up the heart faster and goosebumps were all over. The production video had managed to gain the eyeballs, and why not; after all it was all about the patriotism and legacy.
Then started the countdown for the ultimate reveal of the Invincible on the noon of 1st Feb. I was way over excited and pumped up, daydreaming about owning this as an upgrade over my Discover 125 ST. Then arrives the dawn of 1st February. The ceremony commenced. Amazing words by Mr. Vas.
But as soon I compared the specs with my Discover 125 ST, the practicality hit me hard. Actually, way too hard. I was all excited and expecting a 200cc (because INS Vikrant, must to keep up with the name) and the lowest being a 180cc, that would've also sufficed. But all the dreams of owning the Invincible has been shattered into pieces. Though the aesthetics are clinging on me and my heart's pushing me to go for it. But at the same time the mind is also listing the cons (discontinuation, been there done that).

P.S.: Sorry, got emotional and did a bit long write up.

But still people buy those crap.See RS/AS/NS 200.They care very less about reliability and long term.
