Re: Royal Enfield 750cc Parallel Twin [Spied]
The Himalayan maybe ? But does it classify as a 'Legend' ? Don't think so, maybe the 750cc comes in cafe racer as well as in classic design ?Originally posted by deejayrox View PostYes and the live link for event says rebirth of Two legends! One could be the return of Interceptor name. Which is the other?

Though Himalayan is also expected to get this new bigger engine, I doubt if they would call it a Legend, especially since it got its name spoilt and had to go off the shelf on an emergency basis.
So the live link says the unveiling is planned for the 7th of November, at 8:24 PM local time.

Re: Royal Enfield 750cc Parallel Twin [Spied]
I dont know. It says "Watch two legends make a comeback. LIVE, all the way from EICMA, Milan. #RoyalEnfieldTwins". If I check wiki for post war models, there were 700cc+ twins of Interceptor, constellation and super meteor. Continental GT is already the "comeback" of RE Continental 250cc. Himalayan is a noob and never a legend.Originally posted by Auto View PostI am also guessing that it would be the Continental GT 750 Twin, and the rebirth of the interceptor.
Unless there is some trade mark issue (which I suspect for Super meteor), it could be any two of three post war bikes..

Re: Royal Enfield 750cc Parallel Twin [Spied]
This thing has tuned my attention! 47 bhp is a let down with duke 390/N400 and R3 making almost similar power! But that torque is humongous!! Almost closing in at the Ninja 650Splendor - 2k to 2006

Yes I intended to type Bonneville somehow ended up with Thunderbird lolz..Originally posted by Naveen1985 View PostI think second version will be bonnie inspired. Thunderbird is in different category.
Also that's satisfactory power and torque figures(expected at least 60Nm) for our Indian roads!
Below Rs 4.5lakhs OTR for India and you've got yourself a winner Royal Enfield. I never thought I will recommend or even bother about these World War era machines. My friend dodged a bullet by not buying the disastrous Himalayan.
I feel this 650cc project was built with strong quality control and dedication, because they claim it will be of only ONE spec worldwide. Only time will tell and I remain to be skeptical.
IF(and that's a big if) they can offer reliability and smoothness from this platform, you've got yourself a new buyer.
Waiting for the Unveil..
Cheers!

The reliability and the vibrations are a major concern! For me atleast! I like to ride trouble free bikes [emoji39]Originally posted by jazzysaravana View PostYes I intended to type Bonneville somehow ended up with Thunderbird lolz..
