    I don't think it will compete with FZ16 or Gixxer. They will launch it somewhere around 1.2 lacs which will make it compete with RS200 and duke 200.

      MT 15 has USD forks right? And this in the spy shot has a normal fork.

        For your reference. There is no change in the engine from what I can see. Another reliable power source from Yamaha.

            Its a tried and tested engine abroad. They just took the easy route so that they dont have to start from zero and dont need to spend too much time on R&D either. Just like they did with the R15 in 2008. They took the T135 engine which was tried and tested for years before launching here .

              Thats good but why air/oil cooled...?? May be to keep the cost in check but you know mostly people here will bash Yamaha for not giving them a liquid cooled engine with 30 odd bhp...

                IMO------- Engine horse power is not everything we should always look upto .. yeah extra pack of power is always welcome but.. just for an ex. Look at rtr200 despite of having 21bhp the bike is very much fun to ride its whole ergonomics is in a way that make it a whole lot of fun bike to ride same goes wid this one... & Street fighters are always abt the torque & nimbleness... after all Yamaha will launch it as a city commuter.

                    Looks more likely an M-15 or M-16 to me. Looks drab with that pear exhaust and stupid headlamp design.

                      I am guessing, with the launch of MT 15, FZ will be phased out. and with the pictures posted above, it looks like FZ 15 to me with few changes.

                      Cheers,

                        so they're retaining the ugly rear;
                        front, headlamp and the logo above that looks good

                            is this a 200cc or 250cc bike?

                              The engine specs are not at all exciting on the paper, but after owning 2 Yamahas I know the magic they do with underpowered engines.

                              The chassis looks an exact copy of the Fz v2.0 with the tail section picked from the R15 v2.0.

                              If Yamaha makes the bike withing 140 - 150 kgs, this machine is going to fly!!

                              Hoping for the best
