    Like the looks!!
No abs ring? And not liquid cooled?? May not be a 200+cc bike then... And is the rider trying to cover something with his right hand in the last pic??
Is there any international model this is based on? Or replicating?

Frame and bike is very similar to current fz but yamaha have taken inspiration from MT series of bikes to give it more muscular and fresh look. As far as engine is concerned. It is tried and tested unit which yamaha is selling in markets like brazil, indonesia, thailand etc from past many years.

If you want good specs then you should look for something else. Yamaha is not about power only. Its about overall experience and quality.

Yamaha is using this same engine in fazer 250 which is good for 21-22 bhp...

I'm not particular about specs [emoji14]
The Apache 200 is the latest proof that high bhp is not a must for a fun bike. A 200cc FZ would be awesome considering how the original FZ was a game changer.

If Yamaha manages to keep the pricing right, the quarter liter segment is sure to witness some activities I guess. And regarding power, biking is not 'only' about power.
A bike on the road is worth two in the shed.

Yes, pricing is the key here specially considering the fact that Bajaj Dominar is priced at 1.36 lacs ex-showroom only. I feel nobody includes yamaha was expecting this kinda pricing form bajaj. I think yamaha should price it around 1.1 lac ex-showroom as this bike will be sharing whole lot parts with FZ and it is coming with an old engine with not so modern tech which is why it will be cheaper to manufacture but at 1.1 or 1.2lac it will cannibalize with R15 which will be a problem for yamaha...

I am in the market for a 200-300cc bike and I was confused among New Duke 200/250, Mojo, CBR250. But, just in the last week it has now changed to Dominar and FZ 250 ! Stunned by the kind of pricing Bajaj did.
I have been riding a Fazer 150 since 7+ years now and love the ride quality and stability of my bike. So, I was thinking to wait for FZ 250 (which according to one website is supposed to get launched Jan 2017 mid). If they price it around 1.5L, I will be tilted towards Yamaha. Not too sure about the reliability concerns of Bajaj.

I was thinking they can't price it below R15.

If they will price it above 1.2lacs then it will not gonna find too many customers. Only Yamaha's loyal fan base will go after it. I don't know why some websites are expecting 1.5 lacs price for a bike which is air/oil cooled 250cc with an existing frame and internals.

I am thinking how people claim it to be a 250cc.. I feel it is going to be a 200cc or 155cc.. same engine and just body changes.. so anything more than 80k will just kill it..

Unless there is no official word from Yamaha I wont comment on this, if its coming or not. Though from 2017 Yamaha will be focusing on there motorcycle portfolio. Previously 2015 and 2016 were meant for Yamaha Scooters as per the Company Goals. And yes they did pretty well in the scooters department. SO let us see.
