    1. Because it is naked.
    2. It is air/oil cooled
3.as far as I know from what Naveen had shared it will share an existing engine of Fazer 250 from Brazil market.. an Exisiting engine means little investment in RnD
    4. R15 has a Delta Box and a better quality chassis as it is designed for track only. One reason why R3 is a lot cheaper than the N300. If R3 used the similar chassis setup as R15, the 320cc would have cost close to N300 or even more
    Splendor - 2k to 2006
    Karizma - 2k3 to 2009
    P180 - 2k6 to 2k9
Hunk - Oct 2k7 til now
    ZMR - 2010 to Forever
    RX135(2k) - 2013 to 2018
    Ninja 250R (2010) - 2016 til now
    RayZ - 2015 til now
    Ninja 650 (2014) - 2017 til now

Agree on the parts in bold. However I feel it may not happen.

The price factor? I am expecting it to be priced a little close to 1.1L and anything more will not sell much IMO

I really don't know why some people and auto journos are expecting 1.5 lacs for a bike which is 250cc, 2 valve and air-cooled.

250cc, 20 bhp for 1.5L? Lol. imo it will be priced around Apache 200, anything above it will be a deal breaker.

as long as yamaha passes on savings to customers and bike performs as expected, i dont see any problems with that.

fz does feel overengineered. so does r15.

                          Over-engineered in what sense?

                          Ride safe and have fun.

fatter tire than it actually needs. less power from engine than what chassis can handle.

i dont have have any hard figures for this but after riding it, it feels clearly chassis is lot more capable than engine.

These days it is a trend to see fat tires on almost every bike in India. I have seen splendors with 120 section tire.. More over, 150cc bikes can have wide tires.. It isn't just Yamaha FYI.. even Honda's Hornet has a wide tire.. my Ninja's tire looked puny in front of the Hornet's..

Regarding the chassis.. it isn't always bad to have a good chassis.. I mean, look at the small R125.. one of the best looking and most powerful 125cc bike in the world.. has a fantastic chassis (from reviews) and handles pretty well..

No matter how much power the engine delivers, it is never enough for us.. trust me..

When I ride ZMR, I feel it requires 6th gear and on Ninja, I want a 7th gear

I wonder how you people can even think that this would be priced below 1.3L
Look at the prices of the existing bikes from Yamaha..
I would be surprised if the on-road price is less than 1.4L !
