        • Egad ! Looks that only a mother could love ......Why has HH taken design elements from Suzuki ? The headlights remind me of the Gixxer and the font on the side looks like its off the Hayabusa. Sweet console though.

O.T : Note to self - Never ever mess with Synn ......

          • A bike is known for its power.I got highly disappointed , I waited 18 months for this bike since its first rumor was started , As I am looking for a power bike with rear disc brakes and above 150 CC.
AS this new ZMR has same power specification as old one , when you will showing off your new zmr bike to someone then people dont care about oil cooled,Fi and ECU stuff [or you are gonna teach them in a class to make them understand what these all things are] they just ask about power or speed only so whats the big deal in buying this new one because the power is same as old one.
A biker will sure get frustrate with this one because he has to do more maintainance as compare to old karizma and still the Bike is like old karizma.

            MAJOR Technical Specifications OLD KARIZMA
            Engine:223cc SAME
            Power:17bhp@7000rpm SAME
TOP SPEED - 126 KMPH SAME

            SPECIFICATIONS new karizma ZMR
Engine type : 4St, Single Cylinder, SOHC, Oil Cooled, PGM-Fi. No one cares because most people dont wanna race on professional track.
            Displacement: 223CC same
            Max Power: 13.15kw; 17.6Bhp @7000Rpm same
            Top Speed : 126kmph same
            0-60Kmph: 3.7secs
            Bore X Stroke: 65.5 x 66.2mm
Comp Ratio: 9.0:1 No one cares
Fuel Metering: PGM-FI;Programmed Fuel Injection. This is plus point but power is the major factor
Ignition: DC-FTIS (Full Transistorised Ignition System.) No one cares
Engine Oil: 1.35Ltrs everyone cares, high maintainance on same old POWER.

              • Another excerpt from the blog (Not sure of the accuracy though):

A good idea, IMO. It seems like both designs have their own fan following.

                • 1 question guys...sry if i missed it
Is the bike officially known as ZMR or KARIZMA ZMR?

I guess it is "Karizma ZMR" because the rear end part of the bike has "Karizma" decals attached.

                    • I dont know how many of you like it and how many of you don't...but the fairing is a complete no-no. The way the previous Karizma was made(looked so perfect) this one 'seems' to have quite a lot of things that need rectification.
the Consol looks awsome, would want to change that any time with the one on my R15
The rear disc is the biggest yet (240mm-I guess). Dont know what HH had in mind, but it doest even look like a sports tourer or I might be wrong here. The power was expected to be slightly more if not a significant change. the front headlight looks great. Loads of technical goodies with that huge list of sensors... makes this more of a space ship in india rather than a bike
Over all 91K seems to be ok comparing to the previous one but still...someone do something about the fairing
Just because you haven't seen it doesnt mean its impossible...expect the unexpected.

                          • I liked the bike..!! rather than criticizing & feeling lack of one or the other thing, I appreciate atleast some significant change has been done to the machine which was 6 yrs Old. For speed, fine there are other machines.. But I wanna ride fast & smoother..!!!
Would love to ride it up to the himalayas, more smoothly & climbing strongly perhaps.!!
This is a wonderful machine to ride Far, Faster & With Comfort..!! Thats what I want.
For me its Beautiful..! The goodies & sensors coming up are just fantastic package..!

Yes, the fairing looks odd in some angles particularly from the side! It is OK from the front & rear views. (As per pics from various sites).
