Now, I very much understood the importance of a closed chain, after using the R-15 for the last one month in rains.
actually i was very much not liking the fairing then came this closed chain that too with a bulky chain cover.....
open chain though requires maintainance but we bikers like to get our hands dirty once a week right???

Consider it an option, you can remove if you want, but for touring its a must I'll say for lower maintenance & durability.!
now tell me what thos open and closed chain thing got to do with the touring unless and untill you're into serious bad muddy roads????
and how many people will seriously do touring on ZMR tell me the num outta 100....

atleast this is what apna "HERO HONDA" is giving pic to us.....
that it's a sports bike, though in real terms only R15 in india is....
ZMA was a superb tourer and this thing will keep the ball rollin....

          +1
SAME thing i wanted to say.
Except fairing bike is awesome( if we take it as a whole new bike not an upgrade to ZMA)
BTW ZMA will remain in production

            • Still confused on the looks department.
Maybe it'll take time to accept things. Although its pretty decent.
Looks like its gonna be a very good performer.

I am wondering ( a Lot) how good a tourer this is gonna be. With the full fairing and the extra weight. I am not sure if the ZMR's are gonna do Leh.

Maybe the November issue of Bike India will demystify all these skeptical thoughts.

              • Nice coverage. And I also see that the instrumentation has even got an 'fuel effeciency' reading (kilometres/ per litre)!
                :)

It is there on the text. It is called RTMI! Real Time Mileage Indicator! You have it in the Grande Punto amongst other cars.
The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!
