Just couldnt believe how topic shaped up, specialy before and after the post of ken and bunny.
Anyways back to the topic, i was never realy after the looks, all i wanted waz power with buter smooth engine.. Thats the reason i got 21ps dtsi, but since after completing good number of kms, the bike has lost its refinement level, and whenever i rev it the bike feels a heavy stress...
i was ready to sell of my dtsi and go for zmr, since the zmr would never feel stresed while reving, (thanks to the pgmfi and we know how the zma was) and engine refinement toh mahshalah, no doubt its gona be deadly but only thing where i droped the idea of seling the 220,n goin for zmr is its 17.x bhp. I am not sayin that i wanted a 21ps + bike, but aleas 19bhp would have justified it..
if zmr were 19bhp, i would be the fastest owner of 220 to sel it within a month

...but now i think i stil have 2 good years to spent with 220...

The readings from O2 sensor & Intakeair sensor can be changed by a piggyback (add on on the original ECU) leading in more fuel and air to get more performance i guess.

Did anybody note these figures...?

Weight - 159 kgs....

Engine oil - 1.35 l ...(Are Indian companies fighting for supremacy here)

Battery - 12v 6 Ah MF battery...(only 6 Ah....

)

Along with this, the ground clearance has also been decreased to 159mm....(lower than the lowest bike I have ridden.....P220)....

OT: Just as a piece of information needed
The Indian companies measure ground clearance as the height of the lowest part of a bike from the ground..?
Please correct..!

the tail light looks like a creature straight out of a sci-fi movie or video games...eagerly waiting for nov BI issue...and of course some more ride reports and a zmr in flesh asap.

The ZMR front resembles these: comparing it with the Suzukis GS150 and the gsxr1000 and the triumph sprint!

Except one angle... Bike still looks out of proportion to me. Just compare it with R15. R15 looks so much proportionate. Thats my opinion. In ZMR's case.. it seems fairing was forcibly installed. Thats my opinion.

R15 : Liquid cooled; 150cc ; sports bike; R1 styling; R1 derived engine.
ZMR : Air cooled ; 225cc ; Commuter/Tourer/Street bike ;Fusion of many styling, more of Busa. ; CRF dirt track derived engine.
Both are totally different bikes and let them look different !!

PS : do you know how proportionate R15 looks when a 6" tall guy saddles it or for that matter stands next to it ?

My take:

Fairing - Full fairing was a decent idea but from the side looks like an aftermarket mod. Crashes are gonna be damn expensive now

Headlight - resembles s lot of Suzukis. But still 35 W crap bulb ?

PGM-FI - Honda tech. Should be reliable as hell

Instrument console - Looks kick@ss. Most of the junta wouldn't even bother about most of the features/ sensors

Tail lamp - Looks decent. but tail section is now relatively wider compared to the thin 100/90 tyre which would make the tyre look even thinner now

Increased weight - People start hitting the gym to lose those extra kgs :P

Overall: should be the best tourer around... Make an ad with Hrithik, a couple of hot women and dudes all over the country will buy the bike.

Hmmm, do you think "dudes" all over the country do not buy the bikes that do not have Hrithik, couple of hot women in their adds??? There's a limit to crib/stretch on a particular point, after that it becomes irritating to read, please stop. If someone has money and he likes it, then he will buy it, be it a biker or "dude" according to you!!

This motorcycle has just too many goodies to have anyone crib about certain other thing(s)! And yeah, same goes for the headlights too! The ride quality, ownership experience of this motorcycle will be extremely satisfying in the long run and that is what is going to be most important.

I am quite surprised to see nobody talking about the 'HECS-3'. It is written on middle side panel. This is a low fuel-emission system present in VFR800. Seems even HH is not boasting about this technology; quite suprizing!

Well not totally in support of ZMR here, but R15 aint any R1 grinded magic bike either, its a commuter bike in indonesia, with very commuterish ergos. they snapped a fairing to it and changed the seating position with lower clip ons etc..

all this race derived blah blah is just that "blah blah"

although its relatively the most modern bike tech wise under 250cc here..

What were HH thinking? they should have outsourced the design work to some firm like GK dynamics.. they made a bad choice on that..

1.Although not the best looker but yes it will grow on us with time when we will see it often. I think the best pics were from bike india , that too in blue colour as I believe darker colours will mask the 'weird' lines all over the bike.

2.Specs are also not very exiting but as we know its a colab between Hero and Honda this might be the best they could come up with. It is much better than what they did last time making it Karizma R .

3. Bike is again over priced as compared to competition.
