How is the gps reception in this phone. Since many people have bought this can anyone comment on the gps reception in remote locations throughout india. I am sure you guys must have used it while touring, any problem faced while getting a gps lock? Please elaborate on any issues faced with the gps functionality...

i dont think there might be any problem with the reception the only time it takes is for aligning then later all set....i guess it will work anywhere remotely too....as long as u are searching for reception in clear skies and away from some obstructions like tree buildings etc

Bought the phone y'day and found that it has Bluetooth.

My concern is regarding temperature sensor. It shows incorrect temperature(30 degrees at night in Hyderabad ) Anyone else is facing this issue.
Another thing is to choose which profile for AGPS.(It has a profile called Sirf AGPS server. Do I need to edit it)
Just exploring other features. At my place signal strength of IDEA is weak and whenever I launch the GPS it says "Network Create Fail". Did anyone face this.

good enough review--as an owner myself I still maintain that the temp. sensor kinda sucks --

for me though as a backup fone it rocks!!!

ps:for some members info , i have bought this & i donot have sales target to promote this fone

the temp sensor may not be sufficiently isolated from the heat generated by the phone itself, hence may not give accurate readings. it may require a complex sensing unit to eliminate the phone heat( even your body heat) and give an accurate reading of the outside air temp.

For Gps turn on the receiver first in the settings of gps in phone mode...then start gps and always align the satellites in open skies....

Me too heard that some phone's compass or temp sukz. Tanmay's phone always showed 32 deg. .
anyone else facing this issue.

hahaha now sometimes it even shows 25 deg.....compass is accurate......

can you access net or mail in the phone???

You can access it but the only problem is you can not open any big page i.e a page big than 400kb...it shows out of memory......
and i sent a mail to company regarding the low output in earphones so their replay was
"Dear Customer,
Thankyou for asking. You must be knowing that this is a RIDERS phone so the audio players output is adjusted in such a way that it is beneficial for the rider while riding in a way that he/she can hear surrrounding noises too."

I found a way to improve it........just use a bluetooth headset...thats all......

How long will it take to get the phone ?
I have't seen any replies to my emails from the chaps who are supposed to ship the phone.

Any suggestions on what need to be done ?

Please do not buy it through this site.
The only reply I've got reply is from [email protected] requesting me to wait 2 more days.
Its been 4 days since I placed the order and I'm still waiting to hear if and when I'll get the phone.

That too after paying 9k they will ship using crappy DTDC.

Flipkart offers a better deal.
