Rula diya! Par ye khushi ke aansu hain.
Everytime I read your posts regarding your R1 & the journey to owning it, I'm immediately taken back to 15-Aug-2009, when we first met. Clearly remember the passion with which you spoke about your dream.
After reading the first post on this thread, all I have is immense respect for you for the committment, discipline, & perseverance you showed in saving up for the accomplishment of your dream. Didn't know you took it so seriously from that early an age. Hats Off!!
You might find it hard to believe, but I was happier when I learnt that you got your dream bike, than I was when I got mine!! Afterall, a superbike is a SUPERBIKE.
My best wishes to you for the dream ride, on the dream ride.
Ride safe buddy!
PS:
1) I BELIEVE I will get a big bike for myself soon.
2) Something is still due!

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Ajay aka Strider, I somehow missed out this thread courtesy all that travel and riding of late. Also missed out on meeting you during this India ride as I was riding with the north team. Will catching up someday for sure.
You've narrated something that comes straight from within you and goes equally straight in to touch the reader. No finesse with language can substitute for the sheer honesty of expression here. I still remember your response to someone's query on a thread about you using your same old helmet with the new R1. You'd frankly stated that you didn't have the moolah left over to upgrade the helmet just then
. Great to read and know about such humility, allied with an irrepressible zest and determination to make a dream turn real. Better still to realize that you're one amongst us.
I have always appreciated the fact that you've taken such keen interest in the upkeep of your bike. Those frequent PM's now gain relevance in the human angle of it all
.
Ride long and ride safe.

Thanks! The SBKs are out of bounds by now. I guess I will settle for a good 600, but thats when it comes down legally to our shores.Originally posted by strider View Post"Something is due" this realization is sufficient to work towards that "Due"..

Wow, what a write up. Loved every bit of it. A huge congratulations. My advice is now to buy riding gears of the same grade as your bike. I was so broke when I bought my bike that I had to really scrape the barrel to buy the Helmets and jacket and then slowly bought the boots and riding pants and gloves. These bikes are most fun when you have all the gear. I hope you do now and if not get it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Ride safe and many congratulations on fulfilling your dream.I ride in just 2 weather conditions...
1.When it rains
2. When it doesn't

Awesome write-up Ajay. Your determination and passion for theBigOne surely is heart warming. Wishing you many miles and years of happy and safe riding. Any plans of showering her with goodies (aftermarket stuff?) for her first birthday with you?ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

One small request, if we carry on the discussion at forums, it will viewed by all and remain accessible to guests too and hence a majority of us can benefit from the same. @strider : WOW, you really pushed my dreams a step further , the difference is R1 being my all-time dream bike, I just have got the 40% of the moolah for it, and will get the other 60% as soon as possible, the break came in earning the moolah and my dream was kept aside and I tried to get a handsome salary job, and when now I am earning enough again, soon (take it few years) and.............
BTW , whats the surprise?Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world
