No wonder these bike showrooms are sometimes referred to as 'Stealers' instead of dealers.

Oh, the wait is going to look much longer, but I am sure it will be worth it at the end. Already told my son to look out for the rumble of the V-twin very soon...

Good news first : Showroom guys are charging 18K for insurance. Instead I enquired with insurance company of my old bike. I would save at least 50% by NCB carry forward from old bike to new bike.

Bad news : Unfortunately, the dealer got bikes just sufficient to display in showroom instead of his expected number for delivery. So, delivery of my bike is delayed by few weeks
Oh few more weeks ha .....

But i would say bad Communication on the Tusker-HD and HD-USA part. How can they delay the delivery to a customer who has paid the amount (down-payment or full for the bike) and not deliver as promised yet manage to get the showroom display bikes only !

@Sri I am really sorry for congratulating you so late coz I didn't come across this thread of yours Harley Davidson Iron 883 earlier, pleas accept my apologies and congrats for the best bike money can every buy (my personal opinion).

Can you elaborate on how much I would end up paying after the revised budget plans come into force, my budget for the Harley Davidson bike is around 13 Lakhs RS. I want to lay my hands on a V Rod.

Enjoy it to the fullest, all the best and lots of love and ride safe, take care see you.

it will take a considereable amount of time for the new plant to set....
but after its been set and the night rod (harley sells the night rod in india not the v-rod) will be assembled here, there should be a price reduction of about 45% and it would cost somewhere around 11-12 lakhs....

Need to wait for several more weeks. But yeah, would be worth the wait. Today saw a roadster on old airport road and its sound was amazing.

Its actually between Tusker-HD and HD India. I believe that they have 100s of bookings lined up and under confusion over new CKD policy...

Thank you. Details of assembly plant of v-rod is available as a National Geographic Mega Factories video. Check it out and you would love it.

Edit: AFAIK, there are no plans to assemble v-rod in India.

the fuel meter is not exactly a fuel meter. its a digital meter for the brake oil only. as for the fuel meter, the iron 883 has a warning light that apparently comes on when the fuel in the bike dips below 3ltrs.
