you tried to mount the camera on the mirror stalks? You would be able to get the road ahead but not the speedo meter. Not quite sure if you can mount the camera on the middle of the handle bar? Not quite sure if the space would be sufficient?

The owner of Pal's restaurants,Bandra(W) met me on the road yesterday on his spanking black FZ1. Rode from Juhu to Bandra for a while. He used to ride a old mother big kawasaki. Sold it recently and took delivery of his FZ1. Looks beautiful and suits his personality. I'll try and click pictures of his bike and upload whenever I can. Its raining big bikes yo!!Don't forget to wave :-)

I got 2 curved mounts , 2 flats , 1 helmet strap. There was no cycle bar mount. If I could put it on the bar above the key , it would be great !Originally posted by ku69rd View PostNikhil,

I tried fixing it on the tank but the handle bar blocks the view

Might look ugly, did you try putting a small bar between the 2 mirror stalks? A simple make shift one which you can use only when you want the recording needs to be done.
Practical aspect of the camera standing up to windspeed when you exceed the tonne mark needs to be checked.

Thanks for the wishes guys
I completed 200kms last night...blew a tankful in 24hrs
, got a second refill (i've been using only high octane 97 which is rs.77 a litre
), returning me mileage of 14kmpl. I've got sore knuckles and paining joints of fingers and blisters on my hands too. but this doesnt stop me from unveiling the monster
.
Will be buying some gear soon...for now, all the money is being spent on bike and fuel
thanks for the wishes buddy..i was thinking on same line about grouping and photoshoot.....but i guess uniting everyone would be a big problemOriginally posted by Shivanshu View PostJhonny "The Mighty Blaze" looks awesome its raining FZ now in xBhp, I wish that all you FZ owners can group around and have a good ride and photoshoot.
Hey drop in sometime at xBhp dhaba, it would be good to see her in flesh
i'll try making it to the xBhp dhaba if someone could tell me the ways
Yes buddy...that is a tank pad. i got it installed during the pdi. i have a bad experience with tank scratching on my previous bike.Originally posted by harishks01 View Postcongrats

14 kmpl is very low , I hope you were using 3,4,5 and 6 gears too
@Other Fz1Owners : what mileage are you guys getting. I usually get 18-20 kmpl and at times 21 kmpl too. (being too easy on the accelerator)sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

@niks: i have been not too harsh on the bike and still i am disappointed with the mileage. i haven't checked for exact figures but i feel it is giving me just 16-17
i expect it to give me at least 20. common this bike deserves to give 20 per litre. i have been using xtra premium fuel or shell super.
@blaze: 3900 for frame sliders
your going to get a lot of fz1 owners behind your back now
and did you even get your spool sliders along with it??

@Harish : I get 19+ when I ride mostly on highways cruising at 100 ish (4 k rpm only) and gunning it to 8-9k rpm in firs/second gear once in a while.sigpicThe Moto Cafe - India's first bike theme cafe @ Chandni Chowk

hmm...no wonder you are getting 19...for me it was a pure city drive that includes peak traffic (no highway at all)Originally posted by niks_devil666 View Post@Harish : I get 19+ when I ride mostly on highways cruising at 100 ish (4 k rpm only) and gunning it to 8-9k rpm in firs/second gear once in a while.**********************************************

Guys, my riding spots are mostly highways too. Im gettin around 16 to 17 kmpl. After the first service I never sticked on to any rpm range. I use the entire broad rpm range. But dint redline it too. rarely take it too 11000 rpm. Did a lot of high speed straights and sweepers. During the initial stages, the engine braking was intense. Now its kinda forgiving (on and off the throttle). My suggestions would be, during the initial stages, just seeing to it that we dont accelerate it suddenly or accelerate hard. Later you can rip it off. not a problem. Ive done like 2200 kms till now. Now it seems like the the mileage has slightly increased. Anyways I dont bother much bout mileage.
.
