Since blaze had asked me to be a little careful i checked for every vital points and everything was alright.
                      Harish,
Congratulations, the bike does look really cool in the whites when compared to Black. Mean no offense to you Diehard
Nice Photos as well, locales make it look even better...

What were the checks that you did before taking the delivery? Did you find any anomalies and if yes were they attended to? Should be helpful to others as well. Regarding Windblast are you planning for an aftermarket fitment? Believe you get them in 2 sizes one for 31 Cms & the other 41 Cms Long. Interesting the longer one was priced a bit less when compared to shorter one, priced around 90 GBP if my memory is true.

                      Johnyblaze,
Bet the manual mentions of the RPM that the bike has to be ridden in, so if it says 5K RPM then am sure 5th & 6th Gear you would be exceeding easy 150 KMPH.

                        • Hi guys i have to share todays awosum moment i faced today when riding the Fz . I had to get my licence plate done so got tht fixed and went to the HD and Ducati showroom to check out the iron 883 ( since my friend was a prospective buyer) also to check out the ducati 1198sp walked into ducati showroom. showrooms empty some sales guy around but guess wat for 15 minutes no sales guy approached us. after sometime guy comes in with his chick and checks out the ducati 1198sp the sales guy approaches him and starts talking this and tht abt the bike this guys giving his own gyan on a ducati etc felt like he was only there to impress his chick lol ! after 10 minitues some more ppl came in. I was checking out the strada , remember til now me and my friend have been in the showroom for almost 20 min with no one approaching to ask anything.then i went towards the monster just about to sit on it the sales guy comes up and tells me sir pls dont touch the bike as its sold i was like my bad got off , 3 mins later another guy who had come in and was not the owner of the bike sits on the same bike and the sales guy goes over and chats with him !!! tellin him about the bike etc ! i was like WTF !!!!!!!! my friend also was there he dint appretiate this at all we just walked out of the showroom. The FZ was parked in the ducati garage below some security guards were asking me about the price and all lol my friend bluntly told him "tell ur manager your service is pathetic" he was like sorry sir and i then sat on the bike my friend was like just go close to the showroom rev the bike and vll go lolzz i was ok will do . got close to the showroom rev the bike to about 5k rpm and just as im about the get out of the gate i see -- all the customers in the showroom are outside trying to get a glimps of the bike !! all wondering which bike it was, one guy runs upto me and asks me if would like to join a exclusive SBK club etc.. all the sales guys were outside with their mouths wide open lol all wondering which bike is it ? hehe this was the best moment !! my friend and i laughed our A***** out later on
big showrooms should really not differentiate or discriminate like this just doesnot give a good image about the company. when a big company commits to service it has to be equal to all how do they know who can buy or who cant . i know ultimately the sales matter but at least treat ur prospective customers rite !

Either say no u cant sit on the bike put a board of something or dont keep customer bikes as a show piece in the showroom !!

you guys please tell me how will you feel if the bike of ur dreams, the one thing in life you blow holes in your pocket for years to get, live like down trodden to save up just enough to pay for it. realize that ur bike is actually kept as a show piece for everyone to sit on !! i mean how can they do tht !!

I would say the service at both ducati and HD was bad, HD was ok since i knew a guy there but ducati was really pathetic.i love ducaties if i had my way i would have bought the 848 but if this is the kind of service they show i donno even prospective buyers would want to get out of the showroom !!

Wonder if you ppl have experienced the same i will be writing a mail to them about this we pay out of our noses to get these machines and this is how we get treated !! hell no !!

Again guys this is not a lash out at all i was just pointing out the things which make a difference !! this was just an experience i wanted to share here if its too harsh i will remove it these things matterd an i beg to differ on this !

i checked for the tires(company), shocks, paint(for any kind of re paint), scratches, lever tension and other minor stuff. regarding wind blast no i am not planning for a aftermarket. better leathers and a tight fit helmet is what i am thinking. there is a fairing available though.

                              • Hey diehard, it's sad your experience had to be like that. Some other even more prestigious showrooms are much nicer.

I remember I was hanging around outside the Porsche showroom in Mumbai after getting my Schengen visa, the lady there was nice enough to invite me inside and take a look. She was surprised that I was bowled over by the 911. She said most people go for the Cayenne, followed by the Boxster.
