        • Look at that lean angle. Is there an angle at all left?

Suddenly makes the title "Rossi Wannabe" seem a lot less attractive, just next to "Taliban volunteer"

You have to be quite young and quite confident of your indestructibility and invincibility to even think of trying to get there.

If the pictures are so "respect inducing", i can only imagine what seeing them in person would have been like!

Exactly, pro-racers seem astonishingly close to riding at the limit. Esp guys like Casey Stoner who tamed the infamous Ducati...which was/is notorious for lack of front end feel. On the Honda he is just insane. Sliding a bike into a corner while being cranked over is just mad skills...and doing it consistently..lap after lap is unbelievable. Most pro-racers can do that, but not until recently has the slide been captured in slow motion. Will try to find the RedBull promo video showing the same.

Thanks man. Josh Hayes is a guy with mad skills. won the AMA for the 3rd time straight. True superbikes would probably weigh 100 pounds lighter than their road legal counterparts. Add to that all the performance upgrades. YIKES.....

to know what you felt about the big bucks helmet?

                                Sure man.
Firstly you get what you pay offer.
As far as protection matters, anything that is DOT and SNELL certified will provide great protection.
So make sure what you are buying serves that primary purpose 1st and foremost.
Prices increase in any helmet brand with added features...
                                Comfort
                                Ventlation
                                Materials used and Weight
                                Aerodynamics
                                Paint Quality
                                Sound
                                Peripheral vision

GP-Techs being top of the line from AGV, have all the top features.
                                I have personally used Shoei RF-1000 , HJC CL-15, HJC-FS-15 and AGV GP-Tech.
I would rank them as follows...AGV, Shoei, HJC FS-15 followed by CL-15.

I thought the Shoei was just an amazing helmet...and it is...its light, very comfy, super aerodynamics and nice ventilation.
Aerodynamics is imp. You can get a feel for how good the aerodynamics on a helmet are by moving your head to the left or right while riding a bike at say 60 mph upwards.
If you feel your head is being forced backwards excessively.....its not very aerodynamic.
Aerodynamics is the primary problem on the HJC helmets I own.
Shoei had none of those problems.

The GP-Tech is just a whole 2 steps above the RF-1000. It fits so nice and is unbelievably plush and comfortable to wear. Outstanding aerodynamics and amazing paint finish.
Lots of ventilation ports and really good airflow. Great peripheral vision. Def quieter than the Shoei. Just the quality of the cheek-pads and liners is amazing. all of them are removable and washable. So your helmet stays fresh provided you wash them regularly. All the other helmets I own, have only removable cheek-pads.

In any helmet brand, these features are available provided you get the top of the line models. The Shoei X-11, X-12, Bell - Star, ARAI Quantum etc.
I would suggest try a few of these on and get something that fits well and is in your price range. I would suggest to start off with a Mid-Range helmet like a AGV K-3 or K-4 Evo.
Shoei RF-1100 (new) or Bell RS-1 are also very very good choices. Great features and not as expensive as the top of the line models. If you have the budget, then go get yourself one of the top of the line helmets. I couldn't get myself to buy any of the top of the line ones. Couldn't justify the price to myself. thankfully got presented one, and now I know "You get what you pay for".
                                Good luck.
