There is a group in U.S called 'THE MAKABAYAN RIDERS'.i've seen many videos of that & 2 riders of their group had a really bad crash in canyon but they survived b'coz of full protection gear.the group has all the riders from phillipines.have you met them??
sorry if i ask so much questions..
These bikes were born for the Canyon rides man. You really get to experience their potential on Canyon rides. Riding in the canyons can be difficult if you dont ride with in your limits and comfort zone. Take it slow at first, there's alway the ride going back on the same route that you can push the bike a lil more once you have gauged the difficulty level. Another factor to keep in mind is road debris and spills. As long as you spot them early and avoid them, the ride will be fun. Remember NEVER to try and catch up with the group ride leader if that means riding outside your comfort zone. If you feel uneasy during the ride, slow down. My buddy who rides the 1000 RR now, wrecked his CBR 600 RR on one of our canyon rides due to this mistake. He wasnt feeling comfortable that day but still rode. Went wide on a dropping elevation sweeping hairpin curve and wrecked. I was right behind him with my bike cranked over on one side when it happened. God knows how I managed to sit up my bike and avoid running him over. Will never forget that day.
Nope I haven't heard of this group man.

Yeah dude. I did the same mod on my R6 as well. The key is to go with a top brand like Custom LED or MotoDynamic. Custom LED is the brightest of all. Both brands are wayyyyy more brighter and feature way more LEDS than stock. Custom LED is slightly expensive compared to MotoDynamic. I went with Motodynamic because of the sequential turn signals function. The R1s tail light being smaller, sequential made more sense.
        Thanks

Thanks. Performance mods probably next year man. I want to put on more miles before I look for performance mods. Still trying to learn how to ride a cross plane engine.

That's a real snazzy set of pictures you have there dude. I love the way you have done her up and best of all the LEDs which I reckon look smokin'. I am sorry to hear about your little mishap there, is a good thing you have aero crash protectors now.

Giver her a Two Brothers exhaust system and you I reckon would be just fine.

2Bros....probably not man. I hate the look of the 2 bros cans. Will probably stick with Akrapovic or Leo Vince slip ons. The over all use of materials and craftsmanship of Akra, Yoshi and Leo Vince is far better than 2 bros.

Right on. Akras are more about performance than sound. 2Bros is all about sound. The best part about the Leo Vince slip ons is that they are designed to work with stock fuel maps. It says so on their website, and I confirmed it with one of their representatives. So there is no need for a PC. That is a good 25-300$ that can be spent some place else.
Just yesterday I heard a cross plane R1 with a full leo vince exhausts, good lord it sounds like an M1. And it was bloody loud.

I think with every performance exhausts you need a remapped ECU designed as per the exhaust's requirement. Then how come, Leo Vince can work with the stock one.??

                        Just Curious

I suppose that is how they design their slip ons. Leo Vince advertises each of there slip-on exhaust as, "Machine-specific tuned to work with stock fuel settings"
                          Check the link below.
In the case of a full system, there is no escaping using a Power Commander or Bazzaz and getting the bike tuned to make sure it runs good.

I always plan to ride to Laguna Seca for the race and somehow it never happens. Hopefully in 2012.
AsimB (xbhp member) is somewhere in the bay area and owns a Ducati 1098/1198. Have to meet his as well someday.

I was looking at some of the modifications you have made to the "R1", it really looks cool, seems like you have invested a lot of Quality Time and Effort

                                Kudos!!!
