  • Very well said man!
have you had any problems regarding the paint "fading" after usage? I saw few videos about the same on the Youtube.

Well, the Shoei and the Bell, I doubt are available in India. I was primarily interested in the AGV GP Tech which has the coolest graphics on helmets. Period.

Nope man, no paint fading or chipping on my GP Tech. Its been almost 4 years now since I have had one. Still looks as good as new. I do take very good care of it.
      Good luck with your decision.

        • Happy shoes makes bike happy and so the rider is happy automatically

Sad to announce that my R1 was stolen last week.
Stolen from the underground garage of my apt complex. It was chained as well.
Anyway, I had insurance, so should recover most of the value. But it sucks...

The apt complex does have Video surveillance, the authorities are looking into it. But its too late now. If the bike is not found within the 1st 1-2 days, it has most likely been taken apart and sold for parts. Or probably smuggled out to some other country.
Sucks to be without a bike.

Hurts as hell to see your pride and joy stolen by some useless good for nothing assholes.

So, what do you replace it with?

                        S1000RR or ZX10R.

Or is it too early to ask?

How the hell did they manage that with a chip embedded ignition..... Did you alert the dealer so that they don't issue a duplicate fob key to any one?

Well insurance will pay you the current value of the bike. If you have coverage for aftermarket parts, they pay you for those parts existing value as well.
Usually an insurance company waits a week or two for the police to do their investigation and then designate the bike as a total loss. Then they do a valuation of your bike based on available information. They ask for pictures of the bike, receipts and pictures for aftermarket parts to asses the value. Then they make an offer to the customer. The customer(me) can reject their offer if he thinks its low and request for an independent company to do the valuation. The customer can choose a licensed company to do the valuation. If its higher, the insurance company now has the option to accept it or try to do its own independent valuation. Basically the hope is the 1st valuation done by the insurance company is fair, otherwise you try to find some middle ground. Worst case, lawyers get involved.
