We were tensed to even cross our small old bike across that ditch in Muttati Your R1 made it in first pass and the offroading to follow.

recently I have been tottaly spoilt by a friends 08 R1.

Have been riding it gently as in not ripping hard in 1st,2nd and 3rd gears.
Two days ago I ripped it hard in 1st three gears(boy it was a scary experirence).

each gear shift was followed by a Violent Jerk,no it wasnt the power of the bike but something that held the bike for a millisecond and then let it go?
Is it normal with R1 or other superbikes or something wrong with this machine?

PKM, that was an amazing ride. You were flying by like those roads were nothing to you while I was struggling to tame all the horses and the weight on those roads, and on that hot summer day. That's when I realised that a quick bike is no match for a quick rider

This is pretty normal in my experience. Just the engine breaking kicking in as you switch gears. You feel that in all vehicles to some extent. Is just a lot more exaggerated in these bikes. What you need to do is to rev the accelerator after you change gears and just as you let go the clutch. It is all a quick movement, all in a few milliseconds.... you get used to it as you get the feel of the bike. That way, the jerk is substantially reduced and the ride is much smoother.
