Will post up the total cost of ownership over the past year shortly.. Have a stack of bills to compile and update.

I can still remember the day I got the One like it was yesterday
Congrats Akhil... I still remember the ride with your bike to Kanva reservoir in Feb 08... I was as excited just to ride along with The One as your were to ride it....

I went again a few weeks after that and there was a blue R1 going through PDI and that one also was an '07.

I didn't check the MT as its not my type. I'll do that next time.

Grey market dealers will say anything to sell their bikes. When the Yamaha's were just launched, a dealer in Bangalore told me that these R1's don't go above 180km/h because they are restricted! lol.
how do u check the R1 model?? where is it stamped if its 07 or 08??
        thanks..

Yam India know or care jackshit about setting up the bikes so I doubt they would have messed with it here. Unless it was changed at the country of origin, but I doubt that too as then the manual would be wrong.
