Pretty surprised to see this thread, but hey heartiest congratulations!! . Contrary to what I told you a couple of months ago, now even I am feeling the white one looks much better compared to the traditional red. Also you might want to change 29th April to 29th March

Oh and buzz me once you cross 2k Km's, shall add you to the blog.

I learnt something apart from the fact that 848 evo silk white is deliciously beautiful... chitrangada singh is the new benchmark for attention to details when buying the next SBK.

Congo bro!! Happy to see your long time MV search is paused for the better!

I'm delirious. You can't blame me for the mistake in the date.
Hehehe.. Even I'm surprised that this happened so quick. And I'm sure so would the 2k mark will come up pretty quick.

Yeah. That's what the dealership guys told me. Their service guy is coming soon so will get it tuned by him as of now. Pls do tell me where all will I get good deals online. Registered with ducati.org too to get some tips from there.

Thanks a lot bro. Funny u ask that question as it never occured to me. I didn't ask them that as I wanted the bike immediately and dark stealth wasn't available with them. Though I enquired today and there is apparently no difference in the pricing. Also inquired for the nicky Hayden color scheme for which they said they will check but it's somewhere around 5 lacs extra!!!!!! Bloody cheats - the importer/distributor.

And just a minor correction - ducatisti is a group of ducatista. I've become a ducatista. (that's what I was told when I announced I'm a ducatisti!!)

Brother, congrats on your new Italian Beauty. May god bless you to reach your ultimate goal, The MV Agusta. I am in a dilemma here my brother, we are currently looking at a used Duc 848 evo white, 2010 model. I just wanted to get an idea of the performance of the bike from a user's POV. We are into in-line 4 Japs, i was told by a very good racer friend of mine that the duc's struggle to do city speeds in higher gears. For eg- 50 kmph in 6th gear, is it true? Also what speed does the bike top-out in the first gear. I was told the first gear speeds are much lower than the usual top speed attained by the Japs. Could you shed some light on it.

thanks a lot bro. what you heard is indeed true. with a duc the higher the rev in lower gears, the more fun it is. haven't tried the first gear all the way as i am a bit of a "fattu" as of now - each time i try doing that, the front seems to become super light and rising. will try it pretty soon.

a duc is a totally different machine as compared to the japs in terms of riding, ergonomics, handling etc. buy it if and only if you want some soul in the bike and not just push the starter button, engage first gear and ride. it ain't that simple with this. (though it seems so in the beginning but everything changes once you start riding)
