hehehehe.... i knew this would come up for sure

well the "dudes" rode without a helmet for about 200 odd metres (jumping from one coffee bar to another - when this pic was taken)
and as you all know - you can ask people all you want - they would do whatever they feel like.

BTW - just so that this "stupidity" remark is in the clear - kindly check out the other pics of the actual ride - you would notice the "dude" on the orange bike's got a lid on.
the other "dude" on the ceeber had come with a pillion (from bhopal) and both were wearing a helmet when we met them - and when we left back to respective hometowns - but yup!! i agree - riding on the highway without a helmet isn't something "cool"
but as they say - a picture says a thousand words - but not necessarily the truth

and in my defense - i am the guy with the lid on the cbr250r (extreme left in the pic) - a fellow biker brother from bhopal wanted to try the duc so exchanged it since the ride was barely of about 200 meters. and yes - the guy is an experienced rider. he came on a cbr250r as he had just sold off his 3rd busa a couple of days back.

Love the 848evo man!! May end up buying the 2011 848evo in white or the 2010 1098s
Just out of curiosity. What about servicing/repairs of your Duc since the dealership scene in so pathetic??? Also, how do you get the parts and stuff?

fortunately the bike hasn't given any problems till date.

for servicing - chandigarh guys are more than willing to send a guy to cater to any needs that we might have. parts and stuff aren't as easily available as other manufacturers - but then with patience one can source them.
i've made it a point to go shopping for the ducati everytime i am travelling outside the country.

till now i've bought after market - bar end weights, ducati performance tank protector, hard carbon tank protector for 848 evo, tall windscreen from zero gravity, stock handle bar grips, headlamp protector and a couple of stock oil filters.
most of them have been online - but a few were personally picked up

Well that's some relief I meant about the Bike not giving much problems!
And in case, I get myself an 848, what do I do about the parts/spares? I have not many reasons to travel abroad!

ok i am slightly missing on something.

if you are going for a new bike - there is not much to worry about the spares. the company is obliged to arrange them for you.
also since your vehicle would be under warranty - you wouldn't be much worried about things going wrong. now accidental repairs is something altogether different.
