saw your meet s pics on fb page samyak. i m from indore and pretty keen on getting a big bike for myself. would love it if you asked the other 2 indori ducati owners to come here and share their views . maybe make their own seperate thread. i d love to know the owner s take on monster. by the way how tall are you ?
. who s the least tall guy among you people? i d like to know if he has any trouble with any of the showcased bikes?
2k on the odo is too few to ask you for long term update still i d love to know if you are having any issues with the bike especially on routine maintenance stuff. when is the first scheduled service? how do you plan to go ahead with it since the bike is in indore?

out of the other 2 indori ducatis - one has left for delhi (the monster) and the red 848 evo - well he has done about 2200 kms in past 2 years. so i am not very sure that he would be able to help you much on that front.Originally posted by entsurgeon View Postsaw your meet s pics on fb page samyak. i m from indore and pretty keen on getting a big bike for myself. would love it if you asked the other 2 indori ducati owners to come here and share their views . maybe make their own seperate thread. i d love to know the owner s take on monster. by the way how tall are you ?

i am 6'2 - so the bikes look a bit short - but i can say this for the 848 evo - anyone shorter than 5'8 would definitely struggle a lot more with this bike.
the least tall guy is about 5'4 - but he is a veteran rider, so for him its : anything with wheels - he can manage
maintenance hasn't been much of a problem yet. ducati chandigarh has promised that they would send someone if the need comes up.
thanks buddy :-)Originally posted by Sujit View PostCongrats buddy! That is awesome

i am sure he didn't mean it that way brother. what i understand is that he meant that since i was not getting an MV - ducati is better than anything else.Originally posted by Sarge View Postnice read. always had a soft spot for Mahindra jeeps. Love the Bolero and the MM540. thanks for posting

so its been almost 9 months since i've had the evo - thought would share my latest experience.
well all this while i was under the illusion that the bike has been optimally setup for my height and weight at the dealership keeping in mind the indian riding conditions. well that wasn't the case and the bubble burst when i was on a longer ride. rather the longest ride on a day ever for me on the ducati. there is a mid point between indore and bhopal called Dodi. bikers from indore and fellow bikers from bhopal had decided to meet up for breakfast at the mid point. breakfast was just and excuse - we just wanted to ride and meet some biker brothers
all the while on the highway (which apparently is in good shape as of now) i just realised onething - the bike bounces a lot - and not the soft bouncing but the harder ones, as if it doesn't have any shock absorbing capacity. it threatened to throw me off every now and then and i hung on for my dear life..the ride was quiet stiff and it left me even stiffer.
procastination and work load didn't let me ride to our bike doctor (who lives abt 40 kms from Indore and 85 kms in the opposite direction of my work place) to get it sorted for almost a fort night. but when i did - BOY OHHH BOY!!!
this has become almost as comfortable as a honda would be. uneven concrete road surfaces are not as scary as they used to be, more confidence while leaning in and most importantly - no aches while riding!!!
attaching a couple of photographs of the 200 kms ride - hope you all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed getting clicked
also check out the link for the entire album of that day...
