Switched to vavoline 20w50 semi.
Has been running for 1k, found it to be much lower on noise signature from engine/ valve train.
Muxh less clatter as compared to hd synthetic.
No noticeable change in running temps.

Now starting a turbo sporty project based on Garrett gt15.
Targeting 90-100 bhp, 10-14 psi.

Lets see if it comes off good.

re: Dustom's Turbocharged Harley 1250

Gearbox service done. Changed from HD20w50 to sae90.
Proper gearbox oil and cheaper too.
230/lts instead of 800/ltr for HD oil.

Both primary and chain inspection gaskets reused , no need to change gasket every time.
Overall service cost: 1100rs instead of 6000rs taken by HD.

Service cost is lower just cuz i used cheaper fluids! , labour cost is about 2k for official HD service, definitely saved those.
Have been too long in auto industry not to know where OEMs make money!

Turbo sporty is a difficult project!
I have already invested in it! , my usual funda is- put in your hard earned money b4 finding out how to do it, thats the only way to force yourself to complete it!

Lets see!

Will post a Review soon, Initial observations in first 100km have been - did not feel in command on lean angles , locks up rather easily as compared to MICH.

Cost - 3100/- including fitment.

But why cheaper shoes? 'don't think affordability was an issue -
Any specific plan in mind?

Yes! Affordability was a problem!
House under construction , and we are expecting! We have a ride (4-5days) planned into the mountains so needed a tyre in a hurry.
On turbo front, things will start moving fast in August , thats when i will receive yearly performance pay.
Already have most of the things bought over ebay except oil cooler + wide band O2 sensors. fabrication and tuning to be done

dustom_99 I really admire the practicality of jobs carried out by you. Generally after market jobs on HD are more of cosmetic but your thread is different one. I am really interested on the TURBO part, it work be really nice of you if you can explain that part in form of parts description, assembly & installation, location of different parts, working etc. All the best for your turbo charged HD (1st in India?).
