(Damn!!! Still practicals, viva and seminar lecture to go)

The ride was close to 200km. Mainly through rural bengal.
You have never seen rural bengal. So, just wanted to share few pics.May the torque be with you..

Talk about it! Thinking of your dream, your love towed away by some creep who understand none of it (even if it is legal) makes your days hell as well. A living hell where there is no vent out...

Sorry last OT postOriginally posted by Bladerunner View PostAriz, all you have is the receipt of purchase from the showroom. You don't have the bill of lading with you, do you?
Do you have any idea how much duty was paid by Yamaha for your MT?
I don't have BOL neither do I know how much duty Yam paid. Similarly I don't have BOL and duty paid info on my car, on my laptop and several other imported items which are legally sold in the Indian market mainly by MNCs.
As far as I'm concerned (practically and legally) my product is Indian; I don't care whether the manufacturer produced it locally or imported it. The GOM of Maharashtra charged tax on it, the MCGM charged Octroi on, etc. You know where I'm getting with this
Lastly, the DRI have my bike's info, my address, etc. if they wanted to they could have visited my house right now.sigpic StreetFighter

hey guys ... went to a short trip today ... details later but bike got really dirty !
Umm anyway, i went to a local petrol pump to get her a wash.
The guy there first did a water wash, then sprayed diesel !!! I was like what the hell is this, he said its good for blah blah ..
Well, anyway .. after that, because of diesel getting into disc brakes, the braking has reduced by around 60 % !!
! i am not kiddin. And for a superbike, thats the difference between life and death.
Well, I am never gonna go again for that wash, but got any idea how to clean the brakes now ?
Also , is this diesel wash bad for any parts ? like some plastic etc ?May the torque be with you..

We had a grand ride today, albeit, with a few sore points (more on that later).
Me, Fireblah, Jonak and Ani. All members of xbhp. I'll wait for the pictures to flood in to really make jaws drop..... But in short the ride was good.
@ Fireblah- plastics can get warped because of petrol based products. So do you see any decolourisation? Or any warpage/irregularity in plastic? If not, immediately wash the diesel coat of with mild shampoo and cleanse it with water..... About the brakes, using the same shampoo, wash the discs first, and then try spraying a jet of water into the disc pads. Since you dont have a mainstand yet, I dont know how to lift the front wheel off the ground, but that would make the job easier.Last edited by svjhonda; 06-04-2009, 09:06 PM.You get the point?? :D
