Thank you kauria, i seriously do not know what to write in a ride review. I do not have much experience with different kind of bikes, let alone superbikes ! I think seniors like Old Fox or Ken Cool should come and try the blade and give a review !
@ Old Fox .. come to calcutta please..
Dont think this sunday is possible. I so wanted to go , but I have to go to Patna on this weekend.
But i will surely go out the next morning i come back to Cal. if people are free that is...

Why after warranty period? Is that what the Honda guys told you?

All stock exhausts have a servo motor and those valves. Don't worry about it. You will just have to tape up the servo motor cable so that it doesn't show the FI light.

              • I wouldn't bother about an aftermarket exhaust right now. For someone graduating from a small motorcycle to a full blooded litre bike, the power should be overwhelming, and I can't see any reason for playing around with the stock one. Even the sound would be something new, albeit that Honda expectedly is not loud. Also, with no reliable service station in town, it would be doldrums for the bike if something were ever to go wrong. And I doubt they have Akrapovic or Yoshi reps in Kolkatta.

@Bladerunner: Why change the stock one right now?

I agree too.... Kolkata has no proper service backup, nor anyone with good knowledge about these bikes, so better let it be for now atleast.
Here are a few pictures/vid taken yesterday...

                      vid1, vid2

Now, I have a concern, see the rear tyre on the last picture, the area of contact is a little bit on the right side of the tyre.
Even while riding I feel the bike is a bit tilted towards the right side, i tried riding with my hands off the handle, and I found out that i have to lean to left to keep the bike going straight. I do not know how much the slope of the road has a part in it , but this happens all the time anyways..... Any idea why ? and is this a serious problem or can be fixed ??

                      • @Fireblah: Man, PLEASE for atleast the 1000RR's sake, change that Rs.100/- lid with something good/ way better. Quality matters. I hope you know it better than anyone else!

LOL, yeah I am on the look out ! Kolkata has very limited options but seriously you've made me conscious about the lid ... will make sure I am not seen wearing that anymore !!
Where can i buy a decent lid in kolkata !!!!?

Yeas buddy...i too suggest the same...until and unless there is proper service back up Kolkota not to fiddle with the bike..

I guess this the because of the slope of the road...the contact patch on the right side of the tyre will be more than left side...! I guess you need not worry about it..and im sure the bike behaviour would be normal after it has done some KMS....the Steering cones are new...so it need some time to set...! Im sure the bike would behave properly after some time..!

                            • And yes I suggest you to look for a DOT or ECE approved helmets only..!! Since these helmets are designed for high speed rides..

                              • ohh for the love of god, please change that helmet. I wouldn't wear it even if I ride a scooty.
