Mansons 954 has a PC3 and he regularly uses Speed 91 and it doesn't knock. In fact, his bike is faster than another 954 that belongs to anku here who uses 97 regularly.

Even if Fireblah uses 91 octane it will maximum decrease 5 bhp in rear wheel. Fireblah will not even feel the decrease in power unless he uses the bike in a race track.A professional candid photographer - 17000+ followers. Be in touch

Man 5 BHp decrease is a lot for the bike i would say octane doesnot improve the performance yes maybe a mild one like .5 bhp its more for the engine to run smooth on high RPMs......
One more suggestion to check the difference.. i hope u do a lil or more of powerwheelie you can check nose take of rpm at approx throttle and if u r loosing the amount of power ur talking bout i think u wont be able to do power wheelies at allLast edited by Aryan; 06-22-2009, 11:33 PM.

@ FireBlah: Found out a Dealer for Mobil oil...they have branches in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. You can try out any one of these locations... If you have some relatives in bangalore you can tell them to courier it to you.

Blah, Are you sure you want to test the bike on your own? I would say, if something is damaged, take it to the experts immediately. Someone said somewhere that there is someone good for bikes on Lansdowne Road. Why not try him and ask him to see. If not, go to a place with dyno & compression tools and check. If the internals are damaged, you are probably going to further the damage by testing it yourself. See an expert, if you really are hearing funny noises inside the cylinders.

What the hell! Dyno, no way. Not heard of any in Kolkata. I've also heard of the Mech in Lansdowne, but I dont know how much capable he is at identifying or rather rectifying such problems.
My net connection is down, so was completely disconnected with everything. Man, feel real sorry for the Blade. Is it just India, or is it something with these bikes?
What say Fireblah? Should the doctor come over to take a look?
Maybe I wont spot any difference at all......You get the point?? :D

Well my point was more than finding a dyno, engage the specialists. Take your bike to Delhi if that means peace of mind to your mind. The more delay you make and experiment on your own, the more damage it does to your Blade's engine. So be careful, just and fair to her and take her to Daddy to get the right prescription.
