I did mind actually! Going at 150 km/hr. and wearing that 100 rupees worth lid which cannot even sustain speeds above 60 km/hr., I am sure!Originally posted by fireblah View Postp.s.- please dont mind the Rs. 100 lid ...
Come-on fireblah, you need to take out that KBC of yours now, regularly, all the time you ride the 'blade. Give the blade what it deserves, man!

OT:
The bug infested picture reminds me of something, I saw on net sometime back !!
One guy had a crow hitting his helmet visor going at arnd 180 kms !! The picture was weird, blood smeared crow jutting out of the helmet !!
I guess mosquitoes are better !!
BTW, glad that all the problems of the 'blade has been resolved !!
Happy riding, fireblah !!Kawasaki Ninja : Because lazy sunday afternoons should be despatched at 160 kmph!!!
Hyosung Aquila : Because sometimes you need to look cool while riding at 40 kmph and you can do that only on a cruiser !!!

@ Old Fox: I am aware of the 'lack of power syndrome' but this is definitely not that. Even my bro who kept saying nothing is wrong is convinced today that there is something wrong.

So, then what next, are u going to call them again, or something else. I have no idea how a brand new SBK has this kind of problem. It may be our Kolkata road, or the faulty parts inside, but then Honda should solve it properly.
I had a thought that only our local SBK (Pulsars, Apaches, R15) has various types of problem, but this simply horrified..

One official Fireblade sold on xBhp. Or are there more? And that one is having problems. Which means 100% defect rate! Or are there more? This is terrible. This country, the attitude, the people, the technology, the roads, the petrol, spares, backup, service, NONE of it is ready for good hi tech machines. I only hope that these are teething problems.
Edit: I am not blaming the country here. I am just being critical about it. A lot of it has to change. Eg; For cars, they had to detune the cars to get them to India. We get nearly 1st world country medium sized and small cars. But in a different state of tune than sold in 1st world countries. Similarly, there have to be a lot of changes in this country since this country is really not that ready as yet for such machines.
Or let us put this way, a lot of people have the moolah to invest. But few companies can back their machines up. The Oil companies cannot assure us quality petrol. The government cannot give us good roads everywhere. Which is why one sees the machines in small pockets in relatively developped areas of our country, notably the industrial cities and important state capitals where the infrastructure can support servicing such a machine to some extent.Last edited by ken cool; 06-19-2009, 10:12 AM.The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

The other day only I was discussing this with a couple of fellow xBhpians that how the SBKs being sold in this country are somehow turning out to be defective. First, it was Rossi's R1 and now, it's Fireblah's 1000RR! I just do not get it how is this possible. Such hi-tech machines, developing these 'strange' problems. Or are the manufacturers selling the 'defective' pieces here in India!?
Yamaha, Honda both seem to have developed problems in their respective superbikes. I hope same is not the case with Suzuki's big machines. If this is the case, then spending so much and buying an official machine is just not worth it. I mean, people buy official machines because of the supposed "excellent" service back-up and support that they are promised at the time of delivery, but if the machine keeps developing these niggling problems, and the "excellent" service back-up turns out to be bull, then it is not really worth it. It really isn't!Last edited by Aryan; 06-19-2009, 10:17 AM.:)

Yes. I remember that conversation. But then I have difficulty believing that they (read first world manufacturers) sending us "defective" pieces. I know for certain that in the case of selling international perfumes, they do sell us "defective" products to third world importers. But selling defective bikes! It creates a HUGE negative image!Originally posted by Aryan View PostThe other day only I was discussing this with a couple of fellow xBhpians that how the SBKs being sold in this country are somehow turning out to be defective. As I said, these are just teething problems. At least I hope so. As for Rossiter, it seems that Yamaha is LEAST interested. I hope Honda does not show the same laxity!Last edited by ken cool; 06-19-2009, 10:52 AM.The Wheel was a great invention; Two Wheels with a Motor in between was even better!

Yes, i agree that they do not send defective bikes on purpose... they have their image at stake....Originally posted by ken cool View PostYes. I remember that conversation. I do not know what to do. But there might be something seriously wrong with the bike.
Hope honda is listening, only if they arrange a more through checkup, there's some hope ...Last edited by fireblah; 06-19-2009, 10:45 AM.May the torque be with you..

hey does anyone know any non official blade or r1 owners who have similar problems or they are riding trouble free, if they are then buying a non-official bike gives you DRI headache & official bike gives defective syndrome. Its become so difficult to become a SBK owner, first the high cost then this, the dream to own a SBK seems to be drifting far & far away.
