Its you who has a problem.

For the heating problem of R1 u can check this product Stomp Design Online | YAMAHA
Am thinking of getting one for my bike too, I think with this we can ride much longer.

no kidding. The change in the exhaust sound when under load between 4 to 6k rpm range is awesome. Its one of the reasons why I am gonna go back to Stock again after a while. But then loud pipes save lives in India, is what I think, and am scared to be doing speeds in excess of 150kmph + on stock for the same reasons. With the growler exhaust plonked, buggers on the road have no clue whats coming neither do they bother to use their rear view mirrors but they just pull over to the side thinking whatever it is it means harm to them. HA !Originally posted by fireblah View PostI love the stock and the change at 4-6K rpms over different gears is awesome...
@Fireblah: I am amazed again and again at the braking potential of this bike. Its like a joker card. When in doubt slam the brakes lol. Honda chose Tokico at front and Nissan at the rear, two different brands for front and rear application. It shows how calculated the braking is....each individual thing is out there to do its best job.Last edited by TenHut; 09-01-2010, 12:07 PM.sigpic
when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.
one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

@TenHut--How is GSX's braking & what about zx with its petals?

Gixxer brakes are brilliant. I have no clue about the ZX10R's braking. The 2009 ZX6R does seem to brake really really good though.Originally posted by sheelpriye View Post@TenHut--How is GSX's braking & what about zx with its petals?
To be honest...all of these performance machines have performance brakes so I end up liking the braking on all of them. I can hardly differentiate between the nuances of each bikes braking ability as I dont think I am there yet where I would know exactly whats going on at the wheel when braking and the feedback and stuff.
I just love the CBR right now for its ABS. SLAM BAM WHAM...no wheel locks.
I trigger the C-ABS just for the kicks. I triggered it at 15kmph the other day and felt the pulses. The pulses are so reassuring. ( while C-ABS is engaged and active only at speeds above 25kmph you CAN trigger it at speeds lower than 25kmph while you are coming to a halt. 25kmph + is the threshold when you are taking off and not when coming to a halt)sigpic

I wouldn't want you to test the braking potential of any screamer however fabulous & shiny the road* might appear to be.
Yup, for us normal blokes, Honda's CBS is the best we can lay our hands on & abuse it.
*a road is a road after all, and I believe the bitumen & other surfaces(tar) might be different and won't provide the same traction.

where the C-ABS shines through is when there is a sudden change in the road texture or road quality. Imagine braking in a straight line...say the line looks like this from top..
---> DRY-----------WET-------------DRY ---|
--> start braking
--| braking finished, bike comes to a halt.
u can be hard braking on dry and suddenly theres a wet patch and u dont need to change ur braking for the wet patch. U keep braking hard...the C-ABS will modulate its braking force the moment u hit the wet patch and modulate it again when u are at the fag end of the braking line almost coming to a stop in dry conditions.
How sweet is that ?Last edited by TenHut; 09-01-2010, 03:24 PM.sigpic

I mean we complain(I do) that electronics has taken out the fun from premier class Motorcycling, but it does save life 'on roads', though am open for debating(not for ABS) on track-usage of electronics, Maybe I am not very versed, but slipper clutches/anti-wheelie etc take the fun out of Motorcycle racing. or maybe I am wrong.
I am at best trying to do all the modulation myself, as much as an average human being can comprehend & act upon.
May be I need to ride an activa with c-abs to get some sorta feel
