    Importing vehicle battery is not easy as no airline accepts these kind of batteries, any cargo.
    Superbike workshops do keep them, I think the price is around 8-9 thousand rupees, still very expensive...

    And for the record, I did try push starting, dunno if I was doing anything wrong, but two people were pushing the bike, and it did not work for both 1st and 2nd gears.

      Don't try first gear; due to the very high compression. 2nd and even 3rd should work but you need a decent amount of rolling speed.

          when i ride bullet before my bullet was solid condition but i once race with a Ceilo car and my engine size. mechancic say bullet is good bike but no racing. it is good for three people and very powerful.
          one day when i become rich i but ducati and then I race with cars. not now.

            Yes, I enquired Amaron about this... seems like a good option. They could not tell me the dimensions though. If it fits in the slot, it will work fine. It retails for Rs 1266 only

                I've tried it. It fits into the R1's battery space. Seeing as how both the Blade and the R1 share the same battery, I don't think it will be a problem. But the local Amaron dealer should be able to help you out

                    Just saw the price now. Seems too low. The one I tried, was ~2500. Will give you the exact details of the battery.

                          Checked on Amaron's website, the battery is AP-ATX9. It's a 9 A-h battery, and costs Rs. 2455 in Bangalore. Not sure about the cost in Kolkata.

                            Just today I saw an advertisement about Tata Green batteries.

                            What caught my eye is one line which said 'technology from Yuasa Japan'.

                            Might as well check them out. Maybe there is a match.

                              Website of tatagreen says their database is not ready yet.
                              I charged blade's battery and now its running fine....

                              Will have to be careful now...specially in slow moving hot traffic.
