Yes it is and even after 20 yrs I have not been able to get over it still.He is a youngster known to me whose RX I had modified reluctantly,and with a promise from him that he will not rip it in city.The accident happened when he was overtaking a Vespa Scooter ,when the scooter guy suddenly turned right and crashed in to the RX.My friend was thrown against the wall on the opposite side of the road,and had severe head injury...and he was wearing a very good helmet.He was admitted into Apollo neuro ward within 30 minutes of the accident.The head injury caused severe internal bleeding which caused his passing away....So I put a stop to all my mods and advise for mods..Though I may do one soon..

Mr.Kari was a friend of mine in good old days.....and I had the honor of being in one of his beautifully modded Ambassador.The car was cut in the middle and extended,and it had a more powerful petrol engine.It looked more like a limo,and ride was very smooth.We used to meet at the old track at Solavaram..which was an abandoned aircraft runway.

Great....Hope you would know Manohar in Coimbatore then who was Mr. Kari's mechanic who had created a glider using a Yezdi Engine. I had been servicing my CL2 with this guy....

I had been to LGB groups yard in Coimbatore once when I was a relationship manager with BPL Mobile and had seen quite a lot of cars / bikes abandoned....had envyed those guys there who had the chance to atleast touch and feel those....

Rx 100

Guys

I saw a RX 1OO, not in good shape but, 2nd owner..hes asking for 12.5k, FC not done 91 model, insurance not done for the past 5 yrs, tax not paid for the past 5 yrs, is that a good buy..your suggestions pls

I think it is a decent price. Because, here in Kerala, RX100 costs a lot. It is very difficult to find one under 18K. People are asking 18-20 for bikes in bad shape. I got mine for 22K. There was no tax paid for an year and I had to replace the piston. So they gave back 1000 bucks. Also a reastored RX 100 costs 35K to 45K in Kerala.

Guys, am getting a enduro for 7k from one of my friends, its from down south. Got one in a decent shape now. Wl hv 2 work on it once i recieve it in hand. He has to send either by bus or train.

Hey that is great news .... pls try and get the owner's manual too ... it will be a great help .... I wanted to see if the SX had a different Torque RPM figure

for the KB100 it is:

Power 10.5 ps @8000 rpm

Torque 1.06 kgm @7000 rpm

I had heard that the SX developed the same torque at a lower RPM .

Damn.....how did you manage to do it in this short time span....

here im searching for a cheap rxg for the past one year and there is not one to be found feels like the words "cheap" and "RX" will never come together in the same sentence

BTW there is a KB125 for sale for the same amt

Hi Ramesh - just saw this thread and hmmmmmm you finally getting the SX Endura. Forget about the power, speed and all those numbers - it sure will be a very very rare and unique one - Congrats. Please share pics as and when you can. BTW my 1994 KB100 is still my daily commute

thank u....is it a TN registration (KB125)...Lots of Enduro is available in Tuticorin / Pattukottai I believe, i remember few years back when I was in trichy there were 2 and he pestered me to take one for 4k, i refused to take it. the same he is asking for 12k, maintained very badly with all originality gone.....anybody has a Hero Puch / Hero Turbo, I would want to pick one.

I can get you a RXG for around 16k, one of my friends has, if you are looking for RX100 i can get it for 15 k maybe FC not done, tax not paid kind of cases

Nope kl regn asking for 7k 97 or 98 model red one i can actually count the no of times ive seen the sx it was even featured in a movie or so Hero puch/hero Turbo is pretty rare these days lemme see.... , since you are buying it download the manual and kkep it also contact psr sir and find a competent mechanic.

Taking a KL registration is pain here, getting NOC is real pain...if you are looking in for Shogun / Shaolin I believe its cheap in Karunagapally, not sure about the quality, I had one of my friends having a shogun who wanted to sell at 20k, but when I posted in the Cochin thread somebody replied saying you can get shogun's / shaolin's for 5 or 6k types...

On Hero Puch / Turbo, I was using one for more than 3 yrs and I really enjoyed during college days...we were used to do triples in it and these bikes can pull....have attempted everything with that bike and it withstood all those. infact have ridden that without a clutch cable and with the throttle cable rolled up and just by pulling it

Hero Puch was a great 2-stroke moped. Be it the 2G, 3G or the Turbo Sport, all had a charisma of their own. I still have a 1998 model 2G with me at my hometown & ride it whenever i am there. The only 2-wheeler in India to do speeds of around 65-70Kmph & return mileage of around 60-70Kmpl under sane riding condition.

The days havn't gone anywhere, its just that people have moved on with 4-Strokes. Its not that i am against 4-Strokes, but 2-Strokes are 2-Strokes & nothing in the world can replace them.
