First of all let me tell you there is a little pool of oil in your crankshaft that will act as a failsafe for a few kimis like 10 maybe 12 and if your pump fails at high rev and you keep revving the amount you premix won't do squat. Second your spark plug doesn't tell you anything about glazing split crankcase and brace for impact.

Err...isn't that engine oil? I don't think there's any fail proof mechanism pal. Probably what you meant to say could be, even if the pump gets conked off, the cylinder get ceased after few to several Kms 'cause of existing lubrication.

Again, how do you say so?

I didn't get the point you're trying to convey Are you saying, the plug doesn't say about the quantity of oil mix either from pump or fuel tank?

@raghu:bro first you please decarbonize your silencer core!! then test it after a week....that could also be a cause...@aargee ,sriram and dafc: glazing's effect cant be exactly read by a spark plug!!but yeah you can find how the combustion is going on!!today i gave my for servicing in one of the leading YSS in CBE for RX !! there a rx mech(they have a seperate team for RX service alone with bays for RX bikes seperately) said my bike is a bit affected by glazingand still one cant rule out by reading the plug that glazing dint happen!! and he also added that oil pump does the job perfectly and malfuction of oil pump is very rare .... for longrides he asked to add premix since that needs a bit extra of oil!!
P.S: i dont believe mech's ....still when i saw this team building a RX100 in YSS today i had a hard feeling for missing these guys(uncles actually) while building my bike!!

@Raghu - you need to look beyond this primary issue of exhaust smoke. As I said before & have been saying, I'm using premix for over 3+ years now & there're smokes very rarely. If you want I can post my PUC certificate also, which reads as 1.3 against the permitted level of 4.5 and I hardly see any smoke from exhaust. There's some issue somewhere, could be even with your riding pattern probably.

Riding pattern....????? i doubt im doing something wrong there ....

Thanks for all your valuable suggestions guys...
Got to get solutions for the gear problem now...... Will come back with the question...

awww that sucks man But it is a lot easier to get rid of it if your ring clearance allows for it just get the cylinder rehoned while making sure the ring clearance and piston clearance is in spec and get a new pair of rings and a 2t pump and you are on your way blasting to glory. Followed by a wise run in obviously. And the pump does not break down easily because it is a reciprocating type. Yamaha didn't just blow tons of moniez on RND and get a patent on the autolube system for nothing lol if it was working for them that's why they chose to use it in RD350 and later on in the RX series as well
