No it not the recommended plug matter of fact it can't ignite the fuel properly as it has a very low heat range. If you look up on NGK's website BPR5HS is meant to be used in Bajaj Chetak get BPR7HS it works immaculately I got mine last Saturday. Don't let any mechanic or shopkeeper tell you otherwise spark plugs meant to be used in Chetak don't work in RX

@Dpk89: Please use the recommended plug by the manufacturer. Can you tell me the source of the information that you have been recommended to use on your bike?

lol your Mileage is determined by the jetting, you should notice a bit more power as you shift to a higher heat range plug. But make sure your jetting is stock and you read the plug after driving around and adjust accordingly.

^^^ I hope you aren't exaggerating mate!!! 'Cause you bought an automobile spare for more than 50% discount especially when the margins are low in spare parts business.

@aargee,dafc: i read in other forum that NGK 's fake are doing good rounds in indian spare markets...so some people said that opting for bosch(mico) WB5 (if i am rite in the model no) will be better!!!

                              yep W5BC it is

Coming to think of it aargee maybe I've been buying fake plugs lol guess I have to ask somebody to get a genuine NGK for me. But the thing is the plug has no issues like my MICO plug did, it hasn't missed not even once and has the perfect tan on porecelin. I don't know!! as long as it is working up to my expectations I have no regrets hahahaha

Oh!!! Tks Deepak for that info, really appreciate that
@Dafc - Why would I need a Mico, be it original or fake, when I can source a genuine NGK/BP7HS here ?

But @Dafc, think about what @Dpak says, he should be right on the fake front. AFAIK, no one makes more than 20-25% margin in automobile spares including the 4wheeler segment. So your 50% margin justifies for it.
