  • speedometer cable problem

In my above said yamaha135, speedometer has a little problem. The meter end of inner speedo cable is stuck inside the speedo hub(i dont know the correct name),every measure to remove it, was failed. Now some part of old inner is still inside the meter hub and it is making quite difficult to fit new cable. How to remove it??? any how the speedo is working by fitting new inner with some 'jugaad'(shortend the inner by a cm and fitted) and i had touched 90kmph with that crude method but its not a permanent solution. I know that within some time this will fail.Kindly tell any method to remove the broken short wire ends from speedo hub???
    thanks.

        • Currently this bike is being used by my brother. He informed me that it is giving fuel average of 25km/l.What may be the cause ??? for information he is a very good driver, never goes beyond 45kmph and use gears properly.bike is in run in period.
          thanks.

          • Kindly do go through some of the threads in 2 strokes. We have already discussed in detail.
In future if you want to discuss, kindly share some basic details to take it further. Anyone reading your post will be clueless as what's the bike's condition.

Symptoms can be jets, AFR setting, air leaks, bad petrol, etc.

Sudhir, there are many resons for this.first of all,its a YAMAHA 2STROKE u can never expect a gud fe,except power, pickup, roar, fun, etc.Secondly it is in run in period means after this it will increase its fe,thirdly its and old bike, etc.WHY YOU ARE IN TENSION OF FE? ENJOY ITS POWER YAAR!

I am not expecting much fe but any thing near 35km/l will be good(thats why i have chosen rx135 over rx100).
It is running on last oversize (1mm)so is it normal to get less fe?
What is power increase after this rebore (increased cc)??

                  • This bike is running on last oversize piston (one bore is wasted by mechanic). Is it wise decision to keep it or sell it and buy another yamaha rx135(after some years).

                      Sell your 135 & buy a 125 Super Splendor.

                        Why this rude reply????
I asked this question because i can buy another rx135 easily and for your kind information i have already a collection of 4 strokers (hero honda splendor, suzuki gs150r,bullet350).Each type (4s & 2s) have different charecters,so why this rude reply i cant understand???If you can not reply correct answer dont throw your opinions.
                        thanks.

keep it man , if you are that worried about running on last over size , get a new (expensive) bore, on the cheaper option you can pick up an used bore from the salvage yards running 0n 1st or second over size and use ,it , about selling it , its totally up to you , but you can be certain of one thing , within a week after selling it , you will start regretting the decision,

ps: the people who most enjoy bikes like rxs are the ones who dont know much technical details of the bike , they ride the bike , when it break they fix it and ride it its simple as that ,the moment one starts noticing things the problem starts , thats why you will find members here who do the work by themselves , or the get some body to do it for them in front of them all the while hanging above the poor guys head like the sword of Damocles with the eye of the eagle waiting to pounce if he makes the slightest of mistake, the bottom line is use your bike as it is dont bother about the bore , if you sell this and buy another one there is no gauretee that it will be in any better state, so stop worrying and start riding
