    now about the experience,
I have enjoyed it only for 10 kms. After that bike refused to start,If somehow it is started when i pull the accelerator its engine stops.Tried everything by the mechanic and me but failed.Towed the bike to garage,Checked everything including electricals, even we had opened the head for inspection of any leakage but problem not detected. The very next day i came back to Bangalore, left the bike with mechanic, when i was in train,i was informed that problem had been rectified ,it was some air leakage from reed valve. But i can only meet to my tiger in march-april till then wait....wait.....and wait.....

off topic but may be interesting for some people.
I am a diy type of person with some experience in electronics.I had decided to put a diy led Headlight in this yamaha. After a lot of research on net and market one day i bought this led downlight for rs300/ at sp road bangalore. It comes with a headlight assembly(say downlight) with heatsink ,40 degree 7 X 1watt or 3watt led lense reflector etc.I myself attached the 7 one watt led to the heatsink provided and made a simple pwm led driver circuit for driving leds from 12 volt dc.The result was amazing in terms of brightness but it was widespread. Then i left the idea to use it as main headlight but it can be used as low beam very effectively. Now suggest me suitable place to mount it on bike for low beam.
If any body is interested i will be very happy to provide details about this project.

What are the bore sizes (pistons) available for yamaha rx 135???
Does resleeving is successful in rx to get standard size bore ??
What is the significance of reed valve in the performance of these bikes??
        Please answer friends.

144Hz and its a very simple pwm, dont compare it with commercial products.

Yamaha rx135 have 2 oversizes,1st OS-58.25,2nd OS-58.50,STD size is 57.967-57.982,<limit>57.985. Yeah, resleeving is mostly succesful in bringing the bore to the std. Size,if the job is done by professional, but then also we cannot match the work with factory quality, but i'm not saying it's not gud.IMO buy a cylinder kit for future use.(Reed valves are commonly used in high-performance versions of thetwo-stroke engine, where they control the fuel-air mixture admitted to the cylinder. As the piston rises in the cylinder a vacuum is created in the crankcase beneath the piston. This vacuum opens the valve and admits the fuel-air mixture into the crankcase. As the piston descends, it raises the crankcase pressure causing the valve to close to retain the mixture and pressurize it for its eventual transfer through to the combustion chamber.)wkp

The reed valves are more useful for increasing the powerband ... as the piston drops, the Hi pressure created in the crankcase, which sends fresh mixture into the chamber, also causes a phenomenon call "Carb backspitting" which means air/ fuel mix being pushed back into the carburettor ... this causes some wastage ...

The reed valve thus prevents back-spitting and helps in distributing the generated power over a bigger powerband in the rpm range ....

Reed Valve, and the Autolube (AFAIK) were Yamaha's patents .....

                      • thanks to all for advice.
When i had started my bike without air filter(i had learnt this technique from a mechanic by seeing) and kept my fingers on the air vent of carb there was no high power pull (vaccum) and when it stopped it had spitted some petrol back to my fingers.(at that time my bike is struggling to start and stops immediately if i touch the accelerator ,now this problem is rectified ) What may be the possible problems.I just want to know because it was rectified by a senior mechanic and i am informed that it was related with the choke and air leak from somewhere in engine.
Currently i can not comment upon the status of engine of my bike because it is far away from me.

it will be really nice if you could post a pic of that setup in work....

There are only 2 Oversize pistons supplied by Yamaha India .... any oversize after that will either be imports or local made ones ...

Import : RX-King or equivalent ... the rings are for that compression and portmap
Local: Goetz make ones are suitable for 4-speed ...

Your best bet is getting a new cylinder and use the current cylinder in the bike very carefully

                              • pwm

here is the photos of my pwm and circuit used ,instead of transistor i used mosfet. Its a very simple circuit with easy parts availibility, can handle more than 50watt of load easily and costing only nearly Rs50/-only.I can not say about its efficiency but for my use and comparing to the simplicity of circuit its very good. For more information just google 555pwm circuit.
                                thanks.
