@ Frank Sir, really thoughtful of you to start new thread on RX & RD. Really appreciate it.

@ All, Here we have a guy who is probably having experience more than most of our age (Many of you weren't even born when Frank Sir purchased this RX), so let us stop debating on what the true top speed of an RX is!!!! I just enquired, because he owned a Jap RX & nothing else. What matters is the legacy RX has & the fan-following, which i am sure will continue for many many years to come.

@ Sanjith, If your RX does a 110Kmph & returns 46Kmpl, then you have the best RX in the country.

but the bike was ready to go more that time...

Normally I don't use to drive my bike above 60 kmph,I love riding this bike in those speeds enjoying the RX sound..

When the bike crosses 60kmph its becoming over aggressive..

My 1987 RX had a Speedo casing, with " YAMAHA" embossed on the plastic & inner dial says " Nippon seiki" Japan
Dunno, wether the previous owner has replaced it, but once picked a meter from a meter guy, incidentally that to was a Nippon Seiki

@ all, To my low level of knowledge & understanding it is known that the 6 Speed close ratio speed box that the malay RX has is not a direct fit to our Indian ones & still they are available in the market & people swear that it can be installed also. How far is this true? Recently a AP based Tuners who are well established in FB have put up one for sale saying that it can be fixed to our Indian Rx'es. Could someone shed some light pls...? I can also give the link if someone want's to reconfirm what I've said.

^^ yup it can be, but what leaves to be known is what are the final drive ratios and each gear ratio.
