        Thank you sir, your rebuild was the one that actually inspired me to stick with the 5 speed and not do a RXZ.

        Wanted an RPM meter so got the RXZ ones.

          No, I'm talking about only the "Speedometer" it isn't 5S'ds as the 5's will have gear no's printed with relative to the speed. See this for ex;

            I know these little things do matter to most, but I chose the RXZ ones as they were available as a set.

            Even the old meter was fully functional but then since the rebuild was done with most parts replaced as brand new, I didn't care much.

              Wud u be really interested if the bike just looks like one?? whos interested in what speeds the 'stock' looking 5sp 'actually' goes unless it really does what its intended to!
              Thanks for pointing Ram sir and as u know, few know there were 5sp. meters .. So what if the bikes dont have the '5sp' meters or not. Atleast they have something !! It isnt a big deal really unless u want things more than just copied or inspired cosmetics and want the contraptions to 'actually' perform !! I got a RPM Meter thats calibrated till 12k but it doesnt mean my engine really will!

                That was just an Opinion Doc, as you and every one else are aware of, 5's are rare breeds, although they look the same, these are just the small things that differentiate them from the others. Anyway, ultimately it's the owners choice however.

                          • Supra later had a model called Supra Power up. Which the factory TVS was using before Shogun's arrived.... Which has a word power up in the tail piece ....

                              • Quick Gun Shoooogun !!

                                1995 make, fabricated metal side panels and rear tail piece. Rare OE shogun pistons luckily found (so bought all sizes, STD - 0.5 - 1.0). With the NGK 8bphs.

                                Went a lot of hard-work for the rebuild but its paid off well.

                                Cheers !
