oh sweet..shouldn't be tough then. Plonk on a malaysian RXZ pistons [60mm bore], custom liner job and a good decent 9000rpm port setup with RZ reeds [carbon fiber] and figure out the crank end. And maybe build a good pipe for it It'll be the fastest 2 stroke in goa then

trust me, its not even half as easy as it sounds.
You can use the 135 con-rod on the shaolin. A lot of guys infact put the RXZ piston after a re-bore. But you need solied perfection to get things right. Also the piston deck height will not be the same. U need to add base gaskets, which will screw port timing+compression.
It will run, but not the way it should.
Custom sleeve is not at all easy. Infact liners will always mess with the ports. FYI the transfers on the shaolin are really small, so porting is another big pain.
RZ reeds is an overkill, infact the RZ cage will be too big if u ask me. Its better-off for the RX's. You can use the stock cage with carbon-fibre reeds.

Why don't you build another moded Shogun, if you want more power? I am not sure if a rebuilded stock Shaolin will give you more power than a Shogun. Best of luck though!

PS: Atul what is that thing you are holding that looks like a house-top (last 2 pictures)? You should really come up with a "DIY Basic Bike Mods" book. I will be your first customer.

Thats a reed valve, take out carburettor place any of your fingers in your engine manifold you can feel something shaking that's reed valve.

hey swingarm, thats a Yamaha RZ350 fiber reed valve assy. Its got a 55% increase in total flow area compared to the puny RX reed valve in the first pic. Its not a direct fit though. Intake needs a lil porting to accommodate the "house top" hehe

as far as the book goes, i've had quite a few DIY rebuild threads here and on other forums. A while ago I did a complete rebuild on my RXG which i carefully documented. This was a complete engine overhaul and a few chassis bits here and there. I even tried my hand at painting the chassis by myself with a damned brush. Turned out damn shabby but then got myself an airbrush. Now i do my own painting will dig up pics and post asap. Also, i'd be more than glad to make a small post about basic DIY mods. Most of the stuff is very much doable and that too under 500 bucks :P. watch this space for more

                    cheers

This is a head job i did on my stock RXG head to increase engine compression

This is my RXG after a complete rebuild (engine + part cosmetics)..thats my bedroom
Thats an RD engine me and my friends rebuilt

A junk RX a friend donated to me. It eventually made its way into a good looking bike as u see in the pic below. the engine is also ready for this bike. Am putting this together as I write this....

                      Cheers

definitely a rebuild, modded shaolin will have more power becas it is almost 140cc vs shoguns 108cc. u get extra cc. u can squeez more power
i will search for shaolin for another 6 months, if i dont get a good one, then there is no choice. i will mod a second shogun
