Thanks for your wishes. Infact, any old bikes close to our heart would not want to forget the memories. I'm sure once you are back here would start a restoration if needed.

Thanks RXboy. From my experience, your patience will reward you. Just cannot tell when you'll happen to get a right one. So keep looking out. If you ask me, it is very common to see RX100 than in south (esp. Chennai) and for Sale is something very very hard. It took couple of months search for me to find bike with valid papers.

Update:- Got the papers current and technically became the owner of the vehicle today.

I've got few parts for RX, will post the picture later.

Lesson learned:- There was a clutch slippage as reported earlier, thought would get the plates changed. So pulled up some low run clutch plates from 135 restoration. Though the 100 plates showed some depreciation, also found that boss and pressure plate got some grooves. When compared to 135 (which I had pulled out from previous restoration) found that they both (Clutch boss and pressure plates) are completely different.
The Clutch bell and primary drive looked ok (offcourse, could not make out if it worn out). Don't think they had any cuts or marks when inspected. Need some light on this.

Unlike 135 for 100 clutch bell and primary drive need not be matched for the combination.

Today I touched 55kmph with wobbling wheels and could not take it beyond fearing rear wheel might run before me. Also, it takes lot of effort to reach that speed which was a different experience. I would not only blame if speedo error, but engine screams big when I go about.

Going to take the bike to my mechanic next week as he stays far far away for general inspection and also to take notes if I had missed any.

No. it has to be matched. Only the alfabet combos are different.

I was told not necessary for matching. Anyways, will make a note of it. Will change them only IF absolutely necessary. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Vivek. Congrats on your acquisition. It would have been good had you discussed your plans earlier. Spares don't come easy for RX135 as such the price have increased many folds even if at all available. FYI.. Restoration process involves lot of head breaking, frustration, delays, etc. so be prepared. You'll need dedicate time and money. Also go through threads in 2 stroke forum to have an understanding in general.

sure anna!the bike was from one of my relative and I think it doesn't need much work on engine other than little tweaks.but it definitely need a cosmetic upgrade totally! will post a pic of it when reached home. Also I (my relative fellow) already have most of the spares, so I think this project doesn't make me bald..

Thanks for the update. Again bought few spares. Damn! the data cable is misplaced and have launch hunt in my room. Alternatively have requested my friend to lend for the time being if I'm not successful in a day or two.

Reed Valve and some gifts from Aargee and jd666(Jaideep). Helmet lock with steel keys is something very rare.

The footrest rubbers that you have are not the same ones on a RX-100. They are the round ones. Or is it the pic look like that. Please checkup
The helmet lock is surely a rare on the RX-100.I have one on mine but don't have the keys to it
