Forgot to post the snap of bike before stripe down. Here is a couple of snaps when I bought this beast 1.5 years back.
Also here is the link for DIY 2T Oil level Indicator.

Don't go for normal paint under the mudguard as it won't last and will end up rust built up than we expect. In my experience, under chassis coat which is used for cars works best. Its rubber based and the water repellent properties keeps off the rust for a longer time.

        Thanks Sriram. Point noted.
Let me remove the mud guards and get it painted with underbody paint.

          Re: 1998 Yamaha RX135 Restoration

          Again a bad update guys.

Mechanic met with an accident and hospitalized for past 1 week. He is recovering now, but it may take another couple of weeks for him to recover completely.
Even I wasn't well for past 1 week, thanks to the viral fever.

Hopefully I will collect the bike / parts / tools from the workshop and start assembling as DIY by this weekend at my home (fortunately engine sub-assembly is already completed by him)

Need all your support & suggestions on the 'care points' for DIY assembly.

PS: this will be my very first DIY in assembling, though I have previous experiences only in disassembling 2 bikes.

Did a partial DIY at garage itself. Tank / Shield painting & stickering done (clear coat to be applied)
Mechanic is getting recovered and he will continue to work on the bike. Unfortunately I will be travelling this weekend, so I will post the snaps of complete bike on Monday.
            Few snaps

Great job Mr.boss.The black on the engine parts really compliment the electric blue paint job.It would have been even better if it had a Black cat-con to finish the all black look, but that's just me.
Also does the handlebar come from some other bike or is an aftermarket one?

                      Thanks Deepan.
It's not balck actually, the darkest shade of metallic grey.
Regarding black cat-con, I don't want to miss the RX beats. Thought of powder coating the existing silencer but the idea is still on board. The one fitted in this bike is going to be a spare silencer, so will think of this in future.
And the handle bar is from Shogun.

Thanks Sriram. Few snaps added, will add more after a couple of weeks (leaving for a business trip )

                      Thanks dude.
Mechanic is almost recovered and doing his job well (without others support)

List of items pending / needs attention

                      1) RH shield is not fitted as the screw is missing. Will do it today.
                      2) Silencer is just a temporary arrangement (from my RXG) with a lot of dents. Will change it once I get the original silencer plated (may be in a couple of weeks later)
                      3) Number plates - will get it stickered today
                      4) Horns - Need to fabricate a lengthy clamps to fit dual horns in bumper (or else should think of other arrangement)
                      5) Front mudguard bottom painting - should get it painted in matt black

                      List of non-RX parts
                      1) Headlamps - aftermarket, bigger one with Ambassador reflectors (with 12V 35/35W Osram Cool blue bulbs)
                      2) Handlebar - From shogun
                      3) Rear Shock absorber - From Pulsar
                      4) Front mud guard and switch assembly - from YBX
                      5) Rim & Spokes - From Hero Honda
                      6) Horns - Dual horns from Minda (similar to the one in APache RTR)

Will add the detailed cost break-up soon.

Yes, it is MADE IN JAPAN and taken from my RXG.
My bad luck, the helix (clutch push rod arrangement, don't know how to call it) area is worn out and the clutch doesn't disengage even after adjusting to the extreme position. Got it replaced it with a brand new cover.
You could note "MADE IN JAPAN" disappeared in the recent snaps.

PS: is there a way to get it repaired? Would like to keep it as a spare.
