Hi guys, I recently bought a Yezdi 250 delux - 83
Was lookin for a good mechanic, also was looking into some minor mods,
pls post your suggestions,
The bike is in pretty good running condition,
hav'nt looked into the engine yet ... but does'nt give me ne starting probs ...
most parts are stock ...
The changes are mainly the carb ... which the previous owner changed ...
its currently running a splendor carb (not kiddin) gives 35 milage and no-startin problems (starts on the second kick even in the morn, although there is a minor leak in the carb) ...
K as for the mods hav identified a few ... but am doubtful of the results so need som help on tat
1) Iridium spark plugs ...
Dont kno if they will fit, or if they will be effictive ...
Ive read somewhere of shogun, shaolin, rx100 running with them ...
2) Air filters
please suggest ones tat will be appropriate
Will definitely be changing the carb to either pacco or jikov
will not be reboring the engine ... can't change the heart
pls suggest ne other mods ...
Regards,

thanks... was running with the mufflers (without end caps though) till date. Removed them today and yes it does roar like crazy. A few minor tweaks are required to adjust the performance but otherwise its in good shapeOriginally posted by yamahatrooper View PostThats a really sweet looking ride Sandeep! I am sure the twin exhaust notes sound like a symphony.

Sorry about the bike loss, never worry about locking my yezdi, don't think anyone can start it.....
Have a question people.
Our roadking is based on the CZ 250 ridden by rider Jaroslav Falta.
So how come his bike is 26 bhp and ours is 16 bhp?

feels like an inside job......Originally posted by jd666 View Posthe lost it... i mean with BSA gearboxes, and norton engines lying around in his workshop.. The only thing to go missing was my engine ( which was already dismantled, and in a gunny bag, and most of the other parts of the bike. Maybe it was kept in another area which im not sure of ( inside the workshop )

Thats really really sad man. Too bad this guys still is around. Did he really 'lose' it? Or is he just a goof.Originally posted by jd666 View Post^^ cant really account him... he is part of the team that works for me and my friends. He lost some other parts as well.
Man, either way, I'd have ripped his head off.
Really tough luck bro.

You have lost one of the best bikes man.Originally posted by BigBore View PostThats really sad Jaideep, its a big loss. Hope you get it back soon with the cops help!!i know guys.. the issue was that the bike was dismantled.. so everything was taken away more quickly and comfortably.Originally posted by yamdoot View PostI wish the thief rots in hell.
For a 71 model bike!! cops aint gonna help out. And its not gonna be put to use in a complete form.. Definitely gonna use the parts on other bikes and scrap the rest.
So anyhow, i do still hold the spares with me.. and this bike costed something like 9k. So the loss is more emotional than financial. Thanks all of you for sharing!!

Keep a close and safe eye on your steed guys... wonder what that d1ck got by picking my bike up...
