Hi Raghubrp,

Its true that prices of Yezdis and jawas has gone up. 30K to 35K is normal pricing for a decent Running Condition Roadking. (Barring the Paint job and denting,etc),
If its a newly painted and restored Bike than 40-50K is what everyone expects as it takes around atleast 15 to 20K for a good Restoration work. The pure reason being the availability of spares and the cost of spares. Also check the paper work too.

30K plus is way too expensive. If you are talking B'lore a decent RK will be available <25K. And I am talking paint job and mechanicals included.

A decent RK at <25k seems to be reasonable and that too with mechanicals and a new paint job. Thanks

Hi Everyone,

I am planning to restore my dad's yezdi.
At present it is lying with my chachu.

Can you please tell me what carburattor is present in yezdi?
Becuase I guess the bike needs a new carburettor..

Please give me as much info as possible as it might help me in procurring one. Also if any place where I can get it.

I restored my yezdi recently and I put a Pacco carburettor. It is manufactured in New Delhi i guess. So you can find a shop which sells it easily.

It does spoil a bit of the "idling" beat and the pickup slightly, but increased the mileage from 21 to 31 for me, with the same driving style. Also it does not have any problems like flooding or becoming rich etc. You can leave the petrol ON for as long as you want when the bike is not in use.

It is almost impossible to source an unused Jikov Carb. You'll end up getting second hand ones from scrap bikes, but the point is these carbs do not really "stop working" or anything. So it is surprising when you say that the bike needs a new carb. You may need to clean it completely and only change the float needle if it is not supplying petrol to the cylinder.

Actually I havent seen the carb. Chachu told me that the bike might need a new carb so I was enquiring beforehand.

I will try to get into more details as to whether the cleaning of the carb would solve the issue.

Hi Rachit, Yezdi's came with Jikov carbs, but they were later replaced with Micarb / Mikuni / Pacco, Recently i bought a Pacco carb for 1K, and it gives good milage too.
I heard that its much cheaper in delhi. Where are you from?

Guys, posting this on behalf of a friend. This bike has been in storage for a long time ( though the condition does give away that the storage was not good ). But according to the owner, is stock, done about 6000 kms or so. What would be a good price for this bike? Genuine advise please, since the person is in need, and would like to sell it to make some money.

Ill be putting up some more bikes as well, a RD, a BSA, couple of RX100s and a RXZ etc. So keep watching the respective threads.

Yezdi 350 Twin

Hi all,

After 4 years of waiting I have FINALLY, last weekend , gone to solapur and got my Yezdi 350 loaded to a truck and i am avaiting delivery in mumbai...

Will start a detailed thread on this once the restoration begins ...
