Our roadking is based on the CZ 250 ridden by rider Jaroslav Falta.
So how come his bike is 26 bhp and ours is 16 bhp?

thanks... was running with the mufflers (without end caps though) till date. Removed them today and yes it does roar like crazy. A few minor tweaks are required to adjust the performance but otherwise its in good shape

Hi guys, I recently bought a Yezdi 250 delux - 83
Was lookin for a good mechanic, also was looking into some minor mods,
pls post your suggestions,

The bike is in pretty good running condition,
hav'nt looked into the engine yet ... but does'nt give me ne starting probs ...
most parts are stock ...
The changes are mainly the carb ... which the previous owner changed ...
its currently running a splendor carb (not kiddin) gives 35 milage and no-startin problems (starts on the second kick even in the morn, although there is a minor leak in the carb) ...

K as for the mods hav identified a few ... but am doubtful of the results so need som help on tat
1) Iridium spark plugs ...
Dont kno if they will fit, or if they will be effictive ...
Ive read somewhere of shogun, shaolin, rx100 running with them ...

2) Air filters
please suggest ones tat will be appropriate

Will definitely be changing the carb to either pacco or jikov

will not be reboring the engine ... can't change the heart
pls suggest ne other mods ...

Okay, we dont get the Shocks, or its very expensive.I will post pics of my bike which is fitted with the GAS shocks of Royal Enfield. Maybe you can do that too, Small welding is required on the bike.

Iridium plugs
Frankly speaking
NGK Iridium spark plugs dont give that much performance
Because any spark plug tends to give weaker sparks as the heat in engine increases.The only thing is that Iridium plugs handle heat somewhat more than the conventional plugs
But if you are keen for iridium plugs,go for Bosch Platinum-Iridium plugs if you can get it.
One more thing is that Bosch Iridium will cost you around 175 rupees whereas NGK Iridium will cost you around 550 rupees and both have same performances hence you see that you can purchase 3 Bosch iridium plugs instead of 1 NGK and Bosch is always better than NGK in terms of spark plugs.

Visit any authorized Bosch outlet in your town and find out whether you can get it for Yezdi or not.But so far I know,NGK doesnt manufacture iridium plugs for Yezdi.

Air Filters:
K&N Filters are good but will make more noise
Instead I recomment you to go for pipercross stock replacement filters
You have to do nothing just replace the foam of your current air filter with pipercross foam.The firing of your bike will also be the same and it will give high air flow thus free revving and smooth engine.
I recommend you to go for pipercross stock replacement filter it will cost you around 1700 approx

Dont rebore the engine.Already Yezdi parts are not available and plus very few persons does reboring properly.
Instead go for stock block piston.In Pune,a shop near Quartergate next to Kalpana Automobiles(Dont remember the name but I have seen logos of Yezdi,Escorts and also seen the engines and parts kept in that shop) I remember that block piston set for Yezdi,Jawa,Rajdoot and are still available so if you are staying nearby Pune,I dont think it will be difficult for you.
Also from this shop you can get some parts for Yezdi

Because so far I think that splendor carb wont give you pickup at all.Your bike will run like a 100 cc one.

I have come across people quoting between 30k and 60k claiming them to be in immaculate condition(which I think is impossible). can someone guide me?
