    TMS should be 1975-76.

I love the carrier on the back, have been searching one for ages.

    • Wow, that is indeed a beautiful bike. The carrier looks like a period accessory. I have a similar one that I got along with a 1971 jawa.

Hello Srini shaab.....you are suppose to be authority for "For Ever Bikes"
If you are talking about " Flower Type Cylinder Head" in Yezdi s....than it is 100% wrong!!
Our Yezdis are Indian cousins of CZ Enduro 250, as they where basically Street combined Off roaders, who had a enormous mid range power, naturally these type of machines need heat dissipation for endurance run, hence These Air cooled Engines desperatly need quick cooling..hence THE SURFACE AREA was increased by approx 25% in these Flower head, it is also called Porcupine heads at some parts of the Globe!! (The fins where twisted into helical profiles, further increasing the Air contact Surface area)

            ......
            friend in Orissa
Why, was that Trichy thing rejected???

@srini: you should ask some of your "solid works" dudes to find out the Surface area of both the type of heads....will you??

            No reason rather than "IWED"
Intially the already used Flower head tooling(Dies) came from Chezh..after few thousands of castings...the tools(Dies) had its natual death...after that our Ideal Jawa Engineers made things simple, by making the straight fin design..which will be more Economical in both ways ( Tool cost & product cost)

So guess by now you would have guessed what the hell IWED is

This is exactly what I was expecting to hear; like I said before, the aircooled RD350 that made about 45bhp had these type of fins & I guessed the same would be applicable for Yezdi's too; again, if I'm not wrong, I assume these ones made 16Bhp or something.

There are certain things that only can be expected from us. For the remaining you ppl are there. Seriously telling you.

Why, was that Trichy thing rejected??? : not rejected, there was some problem with it. There was a cut in the groove. Hence i converted it to Yezdi type from Roadking. I feel like there is a loss in the compression in it. Hence not using it. But i am keeping it with me so get it repaired and put on another bike.

I will check with some other ppl soon and let you know on it.

Y is that I havent seen even a single RK with a disc fitting, is it tough to fit one or impossible to get the stem for it.

Just out of curiosity am asking this, if it can be done, then i can try with mine

@gwgreen1: Not so easy to get that easily, and even if you get it, some brokers might charge you a fortune for that.

@ramesh : It is possible, provided you get the right stem. I remember a friend who tried to get a fury fork, and fix it. It was good.
