any idea where i can get jawa block piston(original) for my friends bike.he is riding with the yezdi block...really looks sad on the jawa.

ill check , but the issue is most probably you can find the yezdi classic block, which looks the same as the jawa block iirc.

@JD.. there was a guy in 90's in punjab[ jalandhar if i remember correctly] who used to make aftermarket performance kits for the yezdi like a radial fin reworked head and block with reeds, 28mm RD carb etc.

^^ our very own power twin makes the radial finned head for the jawa. He specially sent me 2 tail lights for the Jawa, free! because i was unable to source em anywhere, and then he photo copied and sent me the parts catalog as well!!! great guy!

My aim is to make the bike as stock as possible, i have all the nut and bolt kits even. Just need time to sit and start work on the bike!!

oh yeah! Muthu sir is great! he has promised me a Fury speedo worm too! a real helpful guy. does the Yezdi have reeds?

^^ good question.. though i dont remember seeing any, Nope i dont think so, since there isnt any direct induction, its only crankcase transfer.

New Yezdi Owner

Hi,

Am from chennai and currently in Mumbai. Bought a 1983 Classic about 2 months back. Narrowly missed being fleeced by the mechanics in Mumbai..and have just done up my bike incl painting.

Wanted to know if its easy to maintain my bike in chennai in comparison to delhi /pune where i am to be transferred.

There are no reeds on the Yezdi surely...AFAIK at least.

Radial fin head is *supposedly* meant to improve performance though I am a little skeptical since I am under the impression it was meant for better cooling ?
