I was fortunate enough to expeirence the 350 twin... One of me friends had it and was willing to give it to me for a mere Rs 5000 back in 2002 and he even let me use the bike for about a week. It was one amazing ride, definetly not as powerfull as the mighty RD but had all the thrills of a 2 stoke twin. Oppa! But one fine day my friend Ashok decided against giving me the bike and just came home and took away from me Dad when I was nt home. Hmm no regrets but back then I did nt have the resources to maintain this Beauty. Now not in touch with that Ashok guy but that 350 twin shall remain in memory for ever.

                • Planning on Buying a Jawa/Yezdi, deciding on Buying jawa 250
After Looking into ALL the 36 Pages of this Thread,
Just have this Doubt, " Would This Bike Pass Emission Test In Bangalore "
i Saw all the Videos in Youtube on Jawa & Yezdi, There is Lot of white Smoke Coming from the Exhaust

Is it the all the Jawa/Yezdi bikes would give that White smoke or just only the few which are not maintained well.

I Love to have this bike, But Im more of a Eco Friendly Person.

                  Should i Buy this Bike!!
(Not Critizing the BIKE AT all, Just wanted to Know so that i could finally decide on buying this bike)

Dont worry man! you have made a good decision of buying a JAWA
My frien has a 69 JAWA, he got his FC done off late, no worries if u know anyone in the RTO, esle it will take lil bit of effort to get it done!

Regarding the smoke, "the more the oil you mix with the petrol the more the 2St smokes" is the common trend.

OT: last month i got emission test for my RK, the service boy asked me in which pipe to insert the measuring stick
i told him to check in both the pipes and there was a difference of ~0.02% between the two

Do you know anybody who is selling a JAWA?
buy it only iff he is a known source to you. there are lot of "mamas" who fiddle with the chasis, engine no of the JAWA/YZDI family. so check twice before buying.

why not try for it in the ARAMANE CITY itself?

What Things Should i Check before i Buy the Bike?

                          • first thing i would suggest to check the neck of the bike and see if it has the manufacturer plate attached. That will help identify the age of the bike. Also the engine and chassis number.

the engine number will be written on the Left hand side of the crank. I dont remember correctly but the numbering helps identify whether the engine components were imported, or indian were used.

Smoke is normal, but it should emanate equally from both silencers. If more is coming out from one, then other one is choked, and would require cleaning.

Jawa/yezdis that i have seen, generally start with a lil pressure making, but if it requires too much of that, then its a cause for investigation into the engine.

Also some people change the original carburettor to an aftermarket one. That you need to check.

Rest if you post some pics of the bikes you are lookin at, it would be easier to judge.

and i guess the white thingy attached to the petrol pipe is the filter which is missing in my KING?

had been to JAIN motors last weekend, he is pretty much having the stock of tank logo's itseems, but only in "GOLD"
did the complete GOLD logo come on stock RK's?

I saw holes made in the Clutch-housing for lubrication. How does it work different from stock ?
